H-1B visas must end’: Wife of US citizen shares plight of landing IT jobs

Yet, two facts remain:
  1. The US still has a shortage of skilled labor in many areas. Several of which I've already listed.
  2. H-1B people will accept a lower salary than a similarly skilled US worker.
The second point is far from the truth. The median salary of an H1B is higher than or equal to the similarly skilled US worker. H1Bs are not taking over the job of an average Joe who can invert a binary tree in Python. H1Bs are skilled which the companies are ready to pay and file hundreds of documents to get them approved.
The recent hiring at IITs by American companies had advertisement saying you do not have to pay the $100k fee for the H1B. Afterall it's always the companies who sponsor H1B not you applying for it.

sorry, I missed your argument, again?!!
Oh let me remind you then.
it seems scamming the systems is not just related to H1B, it runs through their culture!
@That_Guy
(i know off topic, but relevant when it comes to scamming!)

Called it retarded cuz it's their money being deposited for the work they have done, in CPP. You are 60 years young, you can get that money back no matter where you are and it's not a scam lol!. Is that simple enough?

again, whats the point?!!!

for instance, in Hedge Funds, until Bernie Madoff surfaced, no body believed, there could be a scam in that industry!

this though or idea of fraud in Hedge Fund was so radicle, when ADV forms were invented by SEC in the USA, researchers later realized, now with ADV, fraud is now become ADV declaration, itself!

as observed previously many times, you argue without any knowledge or modicum of any ability to understand, surgically synthesize facts!

and on top of all that, you think, you owe us your posts!

FO!

What would be wrong with that? I know people who would support that without hesitation.

Let's make that a 3rd "fact", more like a postulate:

3. H-1Bs are not necessarily higher skilled or qualified than a US worker. That ties directly into #2 above.

Ah...but that is an "American" problem. Just end immigration altogether and spare us the drama! You can't "milk" the world to your convenience. Even H1Bs are not "benevolence".

P.S: I used to be one of those "H1B" workers. Used to earn 80K at entry level in 2006. Ofcourse this was in Bay area.

Political rhetoric is not evidence. Explore USCIS website and come back with facts.
