India - US Tariff and Relations | News + Updates

Then close the thread and no one will comment. Absolute goblin.

Constructive discussion is welcome, what you’re doing is neither. All you do is troll, derail, and throw random gotcha lines with zero substance.

If you’re so allergic to reading any economic news from India, feel free to stay out of the thread. The rest of us are actually trying to discuss the topic seriously.

Stop being an ass.

Indians should actually be grateful that they can attend a forum where Modi jee's governmental economic policy can be objectively criticised and picked apart, since we all know that unconditional love of his magical economic abilities is ubiquitous within The Secular Republic itself.

Unlike my colleagues who generously offer their insights from positions of experience, I personally don't mind quietly watching Indians dig their own holes deeper for themselves - here is a shovel.

They talk like foreign policy works the same way as begging the IMF every few years.
India is dealing with a global trade cycle, something you only face when you actually export things.

Look at your first contribution to this exchange, the goblin is in no position to opine on quality.

I made arguably the most relevant point, but what about the HDI. That's a discussion worth having, not a news stream on 200 jobs or something from some Western company, whilst your population needs five million plus decent quality jobs every year.

That's a discussion on economics, not a feel good WhatsApp group

But this would require maturity, I think only Joe would be a contributor willing to discuss in good faith, as long as it was respectful (and you didn't make too many good points 😆)

Thanks for your concern, but you’re not here for “HDI discussions”, you’re here to sniff around for any bad headline about India and pretend it proves some grand collapse.

India needs millions of jobs a year, correct, and it's trying to create them. Pakistan needs far fewer and still can’t manage even that without IMF stabilisers strapped on.

It’s funny how Pakistanis dig through every spreadsheet on earth to find some gotcha about India, when their entire economy is one big structural flaw. And then, when the argument collapses, all they’ve got left is 'clowns'.

So bad you need to visit a Pakistani forum on a daily basis....

What is wrong with you this morning? Indian talking about begging? Bit rich.
Go take a cold shower and have a well earned break.............

The critical concern for India has to be the vast population outside of urban centres, dependent on government benefits of some kind, which is to India's credit in terms of lifting the floor

However tariffs will disproportionately affect this same population, and the wealth concentration is crazy, with the top few percent probably holding 50% of wealth.
Even the professional class will face job instability concerns, global protectionism trends will not help

No problem guys, happy to chip in with my two rupees

Your concern touches us. Truly. I just don't understand why many resident "experts" who are constantly worried about Indian economics woes, as they stand, refuse to share same concern for their own country? I mean there are many threads on Pakistani economy and yet rarely any of you guys visit those threads?

I mean it is healthy to have "critics" and sympathizers. You guys do good job. I just find it funny that people like "yasser" or "master chief" etc..are never found in threads like "highest unemployment in 21 years". Just saying.. There must be two economics team, mayhap? One concerned for Pakistan and one for India?

I'm not sure the mods will accept diverting to another forum, especially for the same topic.

Just being nice here 😇

I only offered you a shovel. Be grateful for that.

But you have 1.5 billion people, of course you will have more infrastructure, but what's the HDI. I believe you have some nicer trains than before. By the end of the journey litter is everywhere.

Is this going up?

Indian HDI by 2024 is 0.685. Yes, it goes up every year. Soon to hit 0.7. Many states are already in 0.7.

What I find absurd is that you can always find the worse of India or the "opinion" of those who "criticize" India but you don't know Indian HDI or whether it is increasing or not? This is what makes a "critic" different from "troll", I suppose. A critic will learn all facts.
