Pakistan's Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircrafts

Just 4 for VIPs and SPADA SAMs were bought long ago (pre- 2015) when our economy wasn't in a dire situation compare to present critical time, go research on the previous purchases of Pakistan kid then talk lol
Wrong again. 21 with Army and 14 with the Airforce. Its is the standard SAR helicopter for the Air Force. CAMM-ER is recent and ongoing purchases.

Radars are only big ticket item. Sensors for Augusta are not considered big item, where you get the information that we excess fleet AW139 more than 20 helicopters? Did we order more of them in recent years? All major respected defense websites are saying we have only 4 of them
I DARE YOU to write to the manufacturer and get their reply instead of random “major defense websites” .

Go find one of these references please to prove your point.

Bloody Agha Khan Developement Foundation operates more than 4.

6 sit for VIP duties
Then there are PAF examples

Sheesh - I get not wanting to back down but dont make a fool of yourself

Lol show me the proofs from Jane's/flight global/aviation week not some click bait and unreliable sources of mil database? Google said we are currently operating 2 AW-139
Lol
Google

At this point you are trolling and I will deal with you as a troll.

This is from 2016 from the manufacturer

What is link of AW139 helicopters with this thread....

why are those planes worth converting anything...

no plan to convert into ew platforms, its all rubbish rumours from people who dont know the first thing about aviation.

those planes are scrap
Usually I’d agree with you, but there is some truth to the rumors, PAF did at the very least consider doing something with them, as is evidence by their own claims and the aircraft being in Chinese testing facilities post retirement from AWACS role.

As usual what social media is claiming is like 20 times more absurd than whatever their truth probably is, but at the very least there’s a chance we might see them employed in another role by PAF.

I’d say PAFs actual focus regarding new EW aircraft is the Turkish project.

I guess @Quwa has done the research on the numbers.

PAF has made the Erieye a centerpiece of its air combat doctrine. In fact, the major underlying ingredients of both 2019 & 2025 conflicts with IAF was the role played by Erieye and Link-17. The Indians have also long considered the Erieye as problematic, hence the use of terror outfits to target these planes. The TTP attack on PAF airbase nearly decimated the Erieye. PAF has been lucky to both recover and expand the fleet since then.

For future conflicts, what’s the possibility the PAF gets the Erieye ER or EagleEye to either replace or augment the Erieye? Is there a possibility of upgrading this critical centerpiece of PAF’s kill-chain? @Quwa

I am sure some upgrades are being done with time to time. But for future it will be KJ-500 and for Navy, Sea Sultans. But Erieye will be there for a long time especially for F16s.

Considering the H-6 was retired within a year of operations by the PAF. There is precedent to shove things out if they really dont work as expected. One can mush for the zdk gift.

Regardless, it may actually be a good way to gift that platform to an ally that cannot afford a AEW platform.
when did PAF fly the H-6?
