Living in Australia since 1998 according to @j_hungary .. so very little, if anything, is related to the country where he was born (unless he visited the country of origin multiple times in the past couple of years).
 
Very horrific incident where civilians lives are lost. No human should take another's life except only Allah has the power to do it. Although what Israeli Zionists are doing to the people of Gaza is genocide and Netanyahu is a war criminal and they should be condemned and IDF is murderous entity, but this doesn't mean Muslims should take the matters in their own hands and start executing civilians who have nothing to do with what's happening (even if they hate Palestinians). Muslims should not stoop to their level by killing civilians. Instead, Muslim states should declare jihad on Israel and IDF and then fight just like Hamas or Hezbollah.

Sadly, both of the attacker were Pakistani origin and this will not look good for Pakistan, who is also telling the world to rein in Afghanistan for its terror networks. We should practice what we preach.

Only if they have visited Pakistan in the recent past.. otherwise, they are both Australian citizens.

I will say both have some type of tactical training, but they weren't trained or rehearsed for the attack, because their movement seems random. You have multiple weapons, multiple locations, and they weren't in control of the situation. You know they weren't in control when one member of the public was able to turn the gun on them; the threat could have been halved at that moment if Ahmed Al Ahmed had pulled the trigger and immobilised the shooter.

I remember the first piece of news I watched on TV in Melbourne in 2001 which was about a thief who sued the house owner where this theif went to steal things but got injured on a knive or some other sharp object which was lying on the floor. The amazing thing I remember was the the thief winning the case.

Coming to your post, although I agree with your point, and I would probably have shot the attacker if I were in the position of the hero, atleast in the leg or arm to immobilize him until LEAs got there. However, considering my point above, who would want to shoot the unarmed assailant who would also have rights and would eventually be able to sue the 'Hero'??

Every ideology or belief can be dogmatically interpreted and by connecting a few dots together anything can be justified. In case of our religion these interpretations lacks essence-reasoning and contradicts the basic principles and easily refuted. Connecting dot a and dot b to justify a mass murder easily contradicts with dot c d e f and others and lacks the bigger picture and essence. However if it is a dogmatic system it is not questioned and accepted immediately by those small amount of followers.

These interpretations work like a shortcut system to reach results without putting in effort-resistance like doing drugs to get high. If the Book is seen as something to improve our potentials as a tool to uncover Truth the problems would be solved en masse. Magical thinking is another general problem. it limits our potentials and makes people wait things to happen from outside instead of taking on challanges and doing some work to solve problems. Although it is not directly related to this it limits our societies to reveal more of our potentials.

For example take al-Alim-unlimited knowledge as an example by believing in this name tapping to this source and putting in effort-resistance science will be developed by muslims indefinately forever. It will take time and effort but it works for the society and empower us against all types of threats. Instead what happens is human suicide drones blowing themselves up for a shortcut-heaven.

Both were ISIS operatives. They got radicalised in Sydney. The Australian authorities were watching both, but apparently let them go.
