Gunman opens fire at crowded Australia beach, people rush for shelter

Dude, I am a gun owner in both US and Australia. And this shit need to stop, Australia is not like the US, you need guns in the US because everyone have it, you don't need one in Australia because we don't have guns readily available here, guns is not a toy, it's not something you give as a gift for christmas, as a person who shot someone dead with a weapon before, this is NOT something to be taken lightly.

And what do you want that cop to do? In fact, what would you do armed with a Glock when the 2 shooters are armed with 12-gauge and 7.62 rifles.

There is a reason why the last real mass shooting with comparable casualties in Australia was 29 years ago, with the Port Arthur massacre back in 1996, while the last mass shooting with comparable casualties in the US was 23 months ago in Lewiston, Maine, in Oct 2023.

No. As India does not allow to hold dual nationality and Aus do not allow immigrant to have pass as only born or local resident can.

This is all part of a wider debate and one of my main point which I made in this thread regarding the propensity of Muslims of Pakistan (also South Asian incl. Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh) towards radicalization. This is a taboo topic that has never been discussed by scholars or intellectuals. Why so much inclination towards it? What are the reasons behind it (economic, social, political)? Who is responsible and Why haven't they been targeted? Why isn't there a framework for deradicalization? Even if all these questions have been answered, then why haven't they been implemented properly?

Previously, I made a comment on another thread which was on TLP and I made it clear that in South Asia (sub-continent region) the Sunni Deobandi and Barelvi school of thoughts (both of which are originated in India) are outdated now with a very little threshold for radicalization. We have seen and suffered the after effects of both of them and I know my comment will offend people on this forum, but I think there needs to be some sort of renaissance to this wider Sunni school of thought and maybe just drift away from these traditional and introduce a school of thought that is more moderate yet very fundamental to the teachings of Islam and Quran.

It happens because "people" hijack discourse.... loudmouths overwhelm and meek acquiesce... consigning their faculties to be managed and controlled by the few. Often because of being raised in superstition, veneration of holy men or simply for either a puritanical view or spirituality.
That is the people side of the debate... worse is the presiding authority and states own calculus.... with built in distrust, manifest corruption, greed, injustice, uniform application of law, political and social manipulation and engineering.... everone seeks an out from an overbearing autocratic system that has no trust or agency and is manifestly corrupt to the core. Pair that and you'll have conflicted masses running after charmers and shysters.
Understanding faith require personal understanding and more than surface knowledge.... which gatekeepers will do anything to withhold from the masses for them to learn on their own. Because of utter clarity it offers... so this is what we get

These days unfortunately not allot is needed to make someone radicalised. The genocide in Gaza can turn any weak minded person into something full of anger and hate. Most normal people are affected by dead kids and innocent civilians being brutalised something we all have been seeing for over 2 years. Then just like that, hate leads to violence against those who are blamed by association. We saw the same in Christchurch when a mosque was attacked and worshipers killed.

Sometimes the most obvious thing is hitting us in the face yet we are searching for clues in other places.
Reminded me of a conversation I had with an Afghan here in Australia some years ago. We were talking about the war in Afghanistan.

Most people don't care about things like religion and politics; all they care about is living their lives, not having their livelihood destroyed and he said the war started becuase of this, people don't hate others, until the other come in and destroy their life, the reason why Taliban was still supported is simply becuase we were there and we fought them, and that's in itself is not a problem, but when you fight in someone farm and someone house, you are destroying their liveihood. Even tho they hated the Taliban as much as us.

But then this is the issue tho, we in it, don't see it that way, and the Social Media didn't help.

The entire puzzle is now falling in place.

The father is Indian. The mother is Italian. The son is Australian born.

Whilst the right wing fanatics and Indians were blaming and accusing that the culprits were Pakistani, the Western media and Australian authorities were tight-lipped about the identity of the perpetrators. What does that reveal? It reveals that had the terrorists belonged to a Muslim country, it would have been exposed and revealed immediately without any delay. Since the father belongs to an allied country namely India, they kept it under wraps and even now they are not using his Indian identity. They are just talking in vague terms such as Indian passport etc.

Afghans and Indians were ganging up in this thread a few days ago. Claiming that Naveed Akram is a Pakistani name.

All the hypocrites are now watching as guests. They cannot even face us anymore.

The lies these people spread and the hatred they possess for us is astronomical. Absolutely astronomical. We should be under no illusion whatsoever. They hate our existence. They hate everything about us. They would go to any extreme length to lie and spread their vulgar hate.

Pakistan must use this opportunity to blame india for propagating terrorism abroad

This has boomeranged very badly for Hindutva. They will now play the Muslim card instead of the Pakistani card.

"Saaaar, we told you! We are fed up with Muslims! We too are victims of Islamic Jihad! India stands with Israel and phree warld!"

Jeez, how the narrative has changed. It goes to show the kind of a hypocritical and filthy world we live in.

Now that I am reading certain Western media, I am noticing that some are leaving out the detail that the father has an Indian passport. You know the game is extremely rigged when key details are being left out.

They are already turning this into a Islam is evil debate. The first few days were all about accusing Pakistan. Since that doesn't hold anymore, the focus has now moved to Islam and Muslims collectively.

We Pakistanis should be under no illusion whatsoever. This is an eye opener yet again.

I wonder if the right wing media is going to hold their Indian allies accountable. Of course they won't, but...
