This photo proves that the news report you saw was incorrect.

===========================================

These are photos from the launching ceremonies of the other three submarines. You should be able to identify them.

The photo is captioned in both Chinese and English, indicating that this is a launching ceremony, not a sea trial.

After a warship (including submarines) is launched, it still requires a long period of fitting-out work. Once the fitting-out is complete, small and medium-sized vessels typically proceed directly to multiple rounds of sea trials without a separate sea trial ceremony. Only large warships will have a dedicated sea trial ceremony.

The warship has been launched. This indicates that the main construction work of the warship has been completed, including the main structure and propulsion system. However, the interior outfitting has not yet begun. This includes work such as installing internal communication lines, weapons systems, and interior cabin finishing. These tasks will commence during the outfitting phase.

So you are saying the report is wrong as it. is physically impossible to have a launching ceremony then commence sea trials afterwards and do a press release covering both?

That is your argument?

Friend, please let's return to the beginning of the discussion.

You said, "The news report stated that all four are now undergoing sea trials."

I haven't seen the news report you mentioned. I'm simply saying that, according to the latest photos from the scene, the fourth submarine has just had its launching ceremony. It's impossible for it to be undergoing sea trials right now. Therefore, your point is incorrect.

In terms of industrial and technical processes, a ship's launching ceremony is definitely a prerequisite for its sea trials. They may have ceremonies at different stages, or they may not have ceremonies at all. But the photos clearly show a launching ceremony, so it's impossible for it to be undergoing sea trials at this time.

For submarines, launching primarily involves basic structural inspections to ensure the hull is complete, watertight, and properly balanced. Only after these aspects are verified will the installation of internal equipment begin.
Modern warships are initially built in dry docks. Once the main structure is complete, they are moved into the water for fitting out. This frees up the dry dock for the construction of other vessels. ------ In shipyards, dry docks are a valuable resource.

So you were fine commentating on the validity of the news report without seeing it? Very strange.

Anyway, please read below then we can discuss again

"The Pakistan Navy said that the four Hangor-class boats being built in China are now undergoing sea trials."

Therefore, I can only make two guesses:
1. The news report is inaccurate.
2. The Pakistani Navy's definition of sea trials is completely different from our standards.

At the very least, they certainly don't meet our definition of "sea trials."

The currently verifiable situation is:
First submarine: In the sea trial phase. Photos of it sailing on the surface have already been released.
Second submarine: Fitting out or sea trials? Unknown. No photos of it sailing on the surface have been seen yet.
Third submarine: Fitting out.
Fourth submarine: Recently launched, and about to undergo fitting out.

This is a Hangor-class submarine undergoing fitting-out. You can clearly see many pieces of equipment and vessels working on the submarine.

No, you seem to overcomplicate matters. Could it not be the picture was taken, a few weeks later sea trails commenced and then the news was reported?

Instead of admitting you could be wrong, it is now the Pakistan Navy who is wrong and the defination of what a sea trail is that is wrong.

Sometimes humility goes a long way.

Is denying the facts equivalent to humility?

The fact is, currently, only one submarine is undergoing sea trials, the status of another is unknown, and two are undergoing fitting-out. The statement that "all four are undergoing sea trials" is clearly incorrect.

The fourth submarine has only just been launched; how could it possibly be undergoing sea trials???
