Is not all this is Politicians/Govt job meeting foreign dignitries and making deals???

FM, CDF, COAS can accompany Def Minister, PM, or President, but going solo is wrong and out of his assigned role / job profile.

He has no right under his oath and constitution to make any deals or visiting foreign countries in this capacity.

If it happened in the past it does not mean you can continue it after claiming to be Hafiz, Soldier of Allah etc.

While yes it is very odd to do so when it comes to Trump and other officials - in this case he is a military leader meeting a military leader. Not sure what out of protocol - and strictly from a protocol perspective as you allege - an offense has occurred.

FM sab is a MIl Leader only, while the other party is head of state holding a Political Govt office as well.

I Think Trump/USA example is not applicable here, different form of Govt structures. We can try to use an example of our neighbor India, as we have similarities.

If FM sab declare himself same as Zia and Musharraf then I will have no reason to raise a question.

I hope you get the idea what I was thinking, questioning.

I could be wrong, but just asking a question.

yes. Was just asking a question because that deal involves state level agreements, not only some Mil co op exercises etc.

Which particular visit are we discussing here?

Because CDF (and many other civil/military appointments) have the statutory mandate to standalone meet foreign civil/military dignitaries as representatives of the government to discuss business under their purview as specified in the Rules of Business, 1973.

They can lay the groundwork but can not ink any agreement which is eventually officially done via Foreign Ministry and Prime Minister.

It doesn’t matter what structure it is. If it is a military leader meeting a military leader - it is perfectly within protocol regardless of what other titles each military leader holds

Actually there have highly level Libyan visits to GHQ for a few months now, Something was definitely cooking I am just surprised they announced it so openly I expected any Sale to be covert and definitely not jets lmao.
