Afghanistan: General News and Discussion

ECONOMY:
Afghanistan’s Food Prices Rise by 2.3% in November, Statistics Authority Says

Afghanistan’s National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) has announced that food prices increased by 2.3 percent in the month of Aqrab (November) this year.

According to the NSIA, the prices of fruits rose by 10.3 percent, vegetables by 2.1 percent, meat by 1.6 percent, and grains by 1.3 percent during the same period.

The recent closure of key border crossings with Pakistan, Afghanistan’s primary trade route has also contributed to the rise in prices. Restrictions on cross-border movement have disrupted the flow of goods, leading to reduced supply in local markets and putting additional upward pressure on food costs: TKD Correspondent
Arose by 2.3% to what?

Good to know that Afghan living in Germany is so worried about a billion dollar loss to Pakistan. Love to see this border permanently close for all sort of stuff. We are loosing probably 5 times more because of smuggled good and crimes in Pakistan. Kick then out and let them watch Indian movies and enjoy bacha bazi in your country. Love to see how you gonna do trade with ut new Indian lover.

Agree with your view, all Afghan-Pakistan trade should get permanently stopped.

To be honest, Afghanistan is really working hard in that direction.

Could afghanistan also work hard in taking back the millions of afghans living in Pakistan who we are slowly kicking their unwelcome backsides out.

We hope to see remaining trade with Afghanistan end as well.

Also, please don't divert Afghans goods from Iran and India to Pakistan, find some other market.

Pakistan should annex that trashcan Afghanistan. We have every right to do so. We need the land and natural resources.

Total misleading tweet, please clarify in your post brother. I don't have any social media accounts, so I won't be answering that original post on X, but as you took it upon yourself to browse that X platform and share it with us, you can take my words, and answer with it over there.
Here is what he said in that last answer, "As a health minister I have only one enemy and that's diseases". He answered like this because Indian reporters kept asking about relationships with Pakistan. From an effing "Health Minister", what does a health minister have to do with foreign relations, we all know it very well, why Indian reporters were doing that, just to get some masala out of that interview. It's not like our Pakistan, where you can ask a district Nazim about relationships with Timbuctoo and they will start laying out a policy from their behind.
His last words, which he then added to his answer, were, "And I will hit that enemy (read diseases), with bullets from any country that I can get from.". Again, that's in reference to his earlier answer where he said he will seek medicines from alternate countries to Pakistan.
I mean like, yes Afghanis have destroyed our country, I can say that because I have studied with some of them, and while our country gave them so much, they didn't appreciate any of that. One Afghani guy was the captain of our school volleyball team, yet he used to talk bad about Pakistan, so I just ended my friendship with him. But, here in the referenced interview, nops, that's not why the minister is saying, I know it's not as good for the masala industry or hilly billy guys who feed off of such news and then write 500 posts on different social media, but that's reality, this post doesn't have that masala. It's just those hilly billy people making it to turn it into masala.
This should be a non-issue for us, unrelated to us. If they want to get medicines from elsewhere, so be it, isn't this what we wanted by severing ties with that country?
