If this report is indeed from pentagon , then the most interesting part of this report is the JF-17 negotiations with Iraq.
you understand, these 'pentagon reports' are not intelligence based, rather, open source, probably gathered by some intern.

Effectively, whatever we talk about here, has a pretty high chance at making it into these 'reports'

12 aircraft deal was almost final with Iraq but USA had issues on keeping them away from bases with Western systems... don't know about the latest developments about it

Interesting...why though?

Were we proposing a Chinese presence in Egypt as well? Would make sense in that case, but PAF/PAC should be capable enough to support integrations with a foreign customer, no?

And if not for the Chinese, then why? We have a alot of Western systems at hand as well...

no idea where to post this, related to J-10C so posting here

I think the same reason why US sabotaged Argentina's interest in JF-17 and convinced UK to let them but second hand F-16s...
Chinese presence can't be avoided completely as avionics and weapons are not made by Pakistan. So it is possible that PAC needs Chinese support in certain cases.
We were also asked to keep Chinese systems away from Shahbaz base of F-16 blk 52.

Pentagon says that Pak has 36 j 10C

No it does not. It says 2 separate orders were made but only 1 has been completed as of May 2025.
