it was abandoned air port . Shieks of uae are building a new one for biggger jets

The damage was minimal....plus it was expanded on the request of the uae with uae money....not sure of the status of ownership but the land could have been leased to the uae for joint opp as PIA not so long ago use to operate flights from their.
