Of course, but please know that speculation does not mean much in the real world. The only problem is that such social medica tend to self-conglomerate into echo chambers where only one particular viewpoint is enforced above all else, including PDF, and any points of view to the contrary are attacked without regards to any merit.
So that renders any such one-sided discussion, debate or speculation utterly useless.

Right.
And sad to see you getting 'downvoted' and called even a military tout in this thread, which you are anything but that! You had a personal bad experience under Zia ul Haq's Martial Law which has turned you, apparently, permanently against the Pakistani military. I too had a personal bad experience facing Zia's Martial Law way back in 1984 in Karachi but I have mostly moved past that--mine was probably much easier then your's. Some day will tell about that.

BTW, Kudos for taking on the hornets in this thread! I have mostly given up on this thread--there are about a dozen diehard mostly expats here advocating for a dying cause which is Imran Khan. It may please their egos to 'Like' and 'Love' each other but they are deluded that Imran has a quick path to emancipation given his many huge blunders--which he is continuing with.

Fighting/countering a popular opinion/trend (right or wrong) is useless.

So just "go with the flow" and let echo chambers be? :D

Seriously though, you do make a good point. A forum discussion can only be as mature as its active participants.

Well, I remain convinced that reality conquers everything, and that makes speaking the truth very easy.

To paraphrase a famous naval quote from the Battle of Mobile Bay: "Damn the downvotes and full speed ahead!" :D

No. Just present your opinion with logic and facts, and leave that. Your job is to raise your voice and not to change minds.
An opinion has no value. A wise man doesn't need opinion (he seeks it) while a foolish man will not act on it. (Urdu proverb).
It is similar to preaching Islam. We just need to do it by word and action. Then it doesn't matter who follows or draws wisdom from it.

Good point, and one that I have been trying to follow as best as able.

British Insaf ⚖️ is coming for her along with a one way ticket back to her beloved Pakistan.

Britain is one of those few countries in the world which, domestically, truly respects human rights and gives protection to expats; even the top Communist leaders in the 19th century were given protection when the 'spectre of Communism' was hanging over Europe. And they have good policing/intelligence apparatus. They will get to the bottom of the attack on Shehzad Akbar. My guess is some disgruntled anti PTI person or some rogue PTI person himself to engineer the attack. PTI is capable of ANYTHING under the psychopath Imran Khan.

It troubled me several years ago (around six or seven) how I could change the condition of Muslims and what, if anything, I should be doing about it. The above verse then brought great calm and content in my life.

Iqbal makes a powerful claim: a millat, not merely a qaum defined by ethnicity or clan, remains alive through shared concern and collective anxiety (fikar, pl: ifkar) about its own condition. It is this persistent fikr that sustains unity and purpose.

Thought → wish → worry/concern (fikr / afkār) → determination → intent → action

Our responsibility, therefore, begins with the concern. If you are genuinely agitated about something as local as a dirty street corner or a crumbling school or road, that matters the most. When resources or opportunities eventually arise, whether through personal capacity, professional position, or access to power, you will solve that problem (ladder up toward action).

I also came to realise that questioning authority and holding power to account is a citizen’s core responsibility (paying taxes and obeying the law are obligations). In this sense, protests by clerks, farmers, lawyers, or any other group are not acts of disruption but mechanisms of accountability. They keep power in check and, ultimately, serve the larger interests of the nation.

So, just keep poking what you deem wrong with logic and precedence and be content about that.

Right.

Bro, i think the correct term is "Desi liberal"

Which basically is term that i am principally against dictatorship unless the Democratic candidate is more Islamic or against my ideals. I will deal with devil if i dont like my opponent.

We had similar group of people in Eygpt who were okay siding with sisi depending upon what the majority/supporters want/candidate is

Similarly in iran, demcoracy is good if candidate is liberal otherwise we want the brutal shah

This isn't democracy in anyway

So lets not get into semantics

If you are against someone who is largest party/Democratic candidate for the military that automatic makes you military tout

So its simple
Imran khan was a military tout (debatable but i believe this) now he is not, vcheng wasnt a military tout and now he is proud one

See, its not that hard🤷

The protest took place when Afridi arrived in the area. Demonstrators allegedly blocked roads and chanted anti-government slogans, police said.

Those booked include Zain Khan Niazi, Jahanzaib Sohail, Ahmed Raza, Ali Rehman, Hassan Sajjad, Hafiz Shah, Muhammad Ihtisham, Aamir Naseer, Muhammad Wajid, Abdul Wakeel, Zakir Munir and Zameer Naseer.

According to the First Information Report lodged at Ghalib Market police station on Saturday, 20 to 30 unidentified suspects blocked the road, raised slogans against the government and caused public inconvenience.

LAHORE: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Saturday called on the members of Lahore High Court Bar Association to stand with PTI workers in the party’s “street movement”.

Afridi is currently on a three-day visit to Lahore. He had spent the first day on Friday greeting and addressing PTI supporters, who met him at different points en route to the city.

On Saturday, he visited the families of jailed PTI leaders whom he was not permitted to meet at Kot Lakhpat jail. The KP chief minister met with the families of Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Dr Yasmin Rashid and other party leaders.

Addressing the LHCBA, the KP CM said, “You have seen how the false Punjab government has been treating us — their guests,” KP CM said.

“Imran Khan sahab has issued the orders to begin preparation for the street movement,” he said, adding that it was a “huge responsibility”.

Recalling the 27th Constitutional Amendment, he stressed that “courts in the country had been rendered useless”.

“Three judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had allowed me to meet my party founder, but a mere jail superintendent dismissed the orders,” he said.

On that note, he called on them to “stand for an independent judiciary”.

“The Constitution gives us the right to assembly and the right to protest,” he said, as he urged them to stand with PTI workers in their “struggle for true freedom”.

Speaking in the afternoon, CM Afridi referred to claims that the PTI was no more in Punjab. Without naming the party, he also challenged the PML-N to a contest of who could bring a larger crowd to their gathering in each other’s province.

“They can select a ground of their choice. Let’s see who will bring more people,” Afridi said, adding that the rivals could hold their rally next week.
