Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Could be a variety of factors.
Could be spoofing was inffective - it is not perfect.
Could be that it was not in play - spoof emitters themselves could be targets of anti emission weapons and triangulation.

Could also be that Spice was launched in a mode that allowed its seeker to pick out the target in question. Spice has a CCD and IR seeker backed up by GPS/INS.

However, the question asked should not be why the SPICE hit but that what launch platform made it to 100km from Nur Khan? (If it was Spice 1000)
Which begs the question - was it SPICE as claimed by PAF or did someone give a misquote?
@side-winder

No way it was Spice. It was SCALP

No way it was Spice. It was SCALP
Which also has a hi-res thermal camera with target recognition. So if it makes it to the general area even with spoofing it is looking for a specific target. Question more so comes in how India got such a high res photo of the intended target that Scalp had that info in play. Satellite info on that would need meter level slant photography at the very least.

Regarding the overall aspect of deterrence - there are two phrases I would like to put here when we analyze it. Both can be applied in contradictory terms and both in my view can be applied in complementary terms as well.

"Perfect is the enemy of good"
and
"The Brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all".

u also haven't
Nope. Google will do for me for now until the Government decides to declassify imagery of the attacks on Indian targets.

As per Indians themselves, over 400 Pakistani drones entered Indian airspace.

Now each drone would have been fitted with camera but so far, not a single video footage has been released by Pakistan. At the same time Indian Government has not claimed to have shot down over 400 Pakistani drones despite there were plenty of Indian media claims of drones from Pakistan being neutralised.

Why is Pakistan quiet and what is India hiding.

Not every drone had a camera and not every drone was meant to return when it came to want Pakistan sent.
What is interesting is that so far the only drones India is displaying are the ones MEANT to be expendable.

from the looks and sound of the discussion it seems the misconception is that any ordnance released would have 100% kill ratio, that is not the case be it BVR or Air Defense, they WILL be able to penetrate our defenses and they WILL be able to spoof / evade our missiles so i don't understand why there is hue and cry, we should learn from the gaps and improve

What could be reason entire Subroto park has its imagery updated to 17 may 2025 but some specific buildings, there imagery hasn't been updated past 31 march.
Someone's trying to censor stuff
1. Imagery has been updated of Western command HQ of IAF.
see attachment.
2. Though update happened only in Sep 2025 but this is consistent with images of other sensitive places in India. Adarmpur AFS for example. Areas close to it were updated on 25th May 2025 but the base itself is still showing Sat images from March 2025.
3. At best, this claim of not updating imagery is a circumstantial evidence not a definitive one like Indian Sat imagery of Pakistani bases after being hit shows.
4. Had we actually hit anything of substance on 10th May on any Indian installation, some intl. space agencies would have picked that. Failed Balakot strike images also appeared through Planet Lab first back in 2019.
5. Time to discuss how to improve our SOW/Deep strike capabilities. Massive operational gaps exist there viz-a-viz IAF/IA.

THIS!
I think we should just stop the airbattle discussion from 7th may and move on..we should discuss the lacking in SOW department...what can be our plan in the next conflict...im pretty sure after getting there asses groped in the air for the second time...the IAF ain't gonna reply to an event without doing SEAD or just doing damage to our infra...so what are our options? what sow options china provides? what the limited countries from west provides? any southafrican system sill alive??

Since we are on the topic. So let's start with assets we already have and options each of these offers us. For example, AKINCI UCAVs. We have them and in future may acquire more of these. Turks have developed decent A2G weaponary in SOW category for this UCAV like iHA-230 aeroballistic missile.
Recently revealed J-21E with J-10C is another potential area we must look into.

I am not certain about the status of Taimoor ALCM into PAF inventory.
LMs must be reserved for tactical enegements of targets near IB/LoC. Hitting deep and well protected targets with these will be difficult. They carry v small warhead and damage inflicted by these is v difficult to assess from CORTEX analysis. Only on ground HUMINT can give feedback about real damage done.

It hasn't been.
Though I agree with ur points on the lacking in sow department, Rocket along with PAFs own new Sows such as Al Murtajiz, Al rasoob and New SDBs will address the problem.
The thing is pak planners didn't anticipate India escalating to the use of ALCM.
What remains to be seen is what are our options to strike, South and the east India.
