That’s not true.
The two sectors, medicine and IT, that Indians monopolised are growing healthily.
But British people used to shun those professions because they didn’t pay well compared to the effort.
But due to the changing job market - those sectors are the only route to a 100k plus jobs.
Hence Indians are getting squeezed.
Record number of Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are going into medicine as well. So, it’s no longer a Indian monopoly.
Which is reflected in the leftist turn of the medical profession. That’s for another day.

Most British people are open about giving preference to non Muslims.
And political parties are aligning to it for precisely the reasons you stated.
The number of immigrants will be low and the share of Muslims will be negligible.
The system is being skewed to ensure that outcome.
Just look at Trump’s banned list.
Getting citizenship will be virtually impossible for Muslims. Espousing secular beliefs like mine won’t be enough - they’ll have to embrace atheism!
Rules around showing integration - will be impossible for practicing Muslims to comply with.
As a second generation secular Muslim - even I would find it hard to meet those standards.

Obedient is an unnecessarily derogatory term.
I admire people who want to better themselves.
That’s what my parents did. They put up with enormous amount of racism to build a life. They kept their head down and worked hard.
That’s what H1-b Indians do.
It’s just that it’s not something a white Brit needs to do.
I have loved working with skilled immigrants from India.
My only gripe is that far too many bring baggage and align with the forces of darkness.

It's easy to sit thousand miles and comment on US & H1B visa and etc. Reality is, along with US citizens these H1B's are also feeling the heat
It’s not just H-1B related anymore. Twenty thousand Hindustani truck drivers in California alone are also facing the heat , and trust me, this is just the beginning.
