A supermarket that also operates 24-hours kept its shutters down for most of the morning, with a line of people waiting for it to open.

So I guess Venezuela's , China and Russia were all just lying and bluffing about defending the sovereignty and their interests. I don’t think China can counter any US aggression in South America.
But it can block raw earth sales and slow down purchases of US goods, with expected retaliation. Bad for both the economies of both the US and China, which Trump can’t afford ahead of the midterms.

Btw, how much oil/gas did China buy from Venezuela? Officially and via the shadow fleets? End of oil/gas from Venezuela will mean a higher price of commodities from China as well as more dependence, by China, on oil and gas from Africa and the Middle East as well as Russia.

If Trump does this playbook on Iran and China loses that supplier as well, or doesn’t get the preferential oil pricing, it could make them dependent on US vassals (GCC) and Russia. Leaving them vulnerable to having the economy crippled.

Is this a green light from America for China to invade Taiwan ???? Smile 😊

And to take out Zelensky I would say. Self declare him as a drug trafficker and not the official leader etc and bang. No one can complain about this, or anything else anymore.

China needs to stop being a paper tiger or to focused on money hungry making. Mr Putin can do whatever he likes . Putin invades Ukraine . Trump bombs invade Venezuela. Taiwan is China I would think it’s about time china stop bluffing and talking and go for it.
China is continuing to hide its strength and bide it's time, as Deng Xiaping advised. China has successfully blocked the US trade war, overcome American sanctions , like CPU's, and sponsoring of mischief, like the Hong Kong disturbances some years back. They are on a winning streak and there is no need to spoil it by copying the US and Russia and getting involved in nonstop wars.

Its all about capacity. Russians do not have the capacity to launch such a attack on Ukraine.

Expressions of unbridled power don’t come blunter than abducting a sitting president from his capital in the dead of night.
President Donald Trump has shown in a 74-word social media post that he can act decisively, suddenly and perhaps recklessly, in pursuit of his varied and varying foreign policy goals, with little regard for precedent, consequence or, it seems, international law.

Well, as we have been talking about on PDF: There is increasingly little international law, especially in last 5-6 years. Might is really Right.
a lot of Americans want trump gone too , that is normal in very country it doesnt give other countries right to kidnap the leaders

There would be always people in large numbers who would openly or secretly cheer for the change in regimes in most countries of the world; such is the anti-incumbency factor.

If Maduro indeed captured without a single American casualty then it would be a great display of planning and risk taking.

In other words, the rules of international geopolitics remain the same as ever, for all countries.
