Venezuela - US Conflict: News, Updates

Maduro and his predecessor Chavez, both were definitely imbecile, power hungry, corrupt and manipulators. No doubt about that. They polluted a flourishing economy to bring dooms to the Country and didn't do much for the populace and to enhance their defence capabilities either.

However, that doesn't give free hand to any foreign power to meddle in their internal affairs, that to this blatantly (read robbery). It was up to the Venezuelans to change their destiny.

Problem was not the socialists policies. But US imposed sanctions!

90% of US production is light sweet crude. The US needs heavy oil for diesel, jet fuel and other derivates not obtained by refining light sweet crude without blending. If US refineries obtain a steady supply of Venezuelan crude it will meet all US energy needs for many decades. The US will not flood the market with Venezuelan crude since current Venezuelan production rates is enough to meet US needs.
Light crude oil production doesn't even reach 60% of total production. In reality, if it were 90% light crude oil production, the US wouldn't even be self-sufficient in oil, since all American refineries are designed and built to refine heavy crude oil.

The US produces both heavy and light crude oil, with light crude oil production increasing over time, but heavy crude oil is still produced more than light crude oil.

The problem was that US companies built refineries and the entire Venezuelan oil industry and Chavez nationalised everything without compensation. If I build your house under a 30 years contract and you don't pay me anything and kick me out, I will be upset as well.

Besides, Maduro, the tool, supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine ,he can choke on international law now.
Unfortunately for him, his bolivarian paper soldiers weren't as brave as the Ukrainians.

While drinking my coffee with toast. I got sky news on. Reporting of Venezuelans are in high celebration living in Spain , this was a great thing for them! I don’t think they understand what regime change means! By US. Another Libya loading. Venezuelans might miss Maduro very soon just as Libyans are missing Gaddafi 😆

By attacking Venezuela, seizing its president, and promising to “run” the country indefinitely—all without any congressional or United Nations authorization—U.S. President Donald Trump may well have shredded what little is left of international norms and opened the way to new acts of aggression from U.S. rivals China and Russia on the world stage, some experts say.

In return, Trump probably achieved little in the way of stopping narcotics flows into the United States, even as he asserts what he calls the “Trump corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine in his new National Security Strategy, which aims “to restore American preeminence in the Western Hemisphere.”

While it’s true that much of the world and, by most accounts, a majority of Venezuelans did not see President Nicolás Maduro as legitimate—and Maduro has been indicted in the United States on charges of being a drug trafficker—Trump has now set a potentially devastating precedent, some critics and experts say. Beijing and Moscow could decide to act in similar fashion against regional leaders whom they deem to be threats—especially in Ukraine and Taiwan—all without worrying about the legitimacy of such actions...

sympathizing with the Taliban lmao , idk why you people do this shit they aren't anything special
I don’t sympathize with any side. I oppose the violation of territorial integrity in all cases. After the loss of 80,000 lives, it is troubling that some still fail to understand the consequences. Narratives that justify violence only lead to more innocent blood being shed.

The $60 Billion Question: Is Venezuela Secretly A Bitcoin Superpower?

Alex Saab embraces Nicolas Maduro upon his return to Caracas, December 2023. With Maduro now in U.S. custody, Saab may hold the keys to Venezuela's hidden crypto fortune.

He was detected by a CIA mole in the government.. it is the CIA who gave his hiding place to the US Delta force..

In a few years, Delta Force members will appear publicly and give details about the operation in podcasts and books.

But one face we will never see is that of the members of the Political Action Group (PAG), one of the two divisions that make up the CIA's Special Activities Center (SAC), along with the Special Operations Group (SOG).

These guys are far more dangerous than the SOG, which is made up of former Delta Force members and SEALs, responsible for overthrowing governments and aligning the politicians of a given country with US interests, specializing in economic, cyber, psychological warfare and propaganda.

They were probably the ones who created the CIA's double agents and gave Delta Force the information to capture Maduro, in addition to supporting the Venezuelan political opposition.

they are already doing it , not responding to it means more bloodshed that you appose , remember after we conducted our operation in swat there was sharp decline in terror related deaths ( then ghq+immu fucked it up) .

It is Venezuela's oil Pal ! They nationalised the industry and threw the American oil companies out. That was not stealing but protecting their own resources from predation by big oil. Trump is just going to get people killed for nothing.

Sure.....you still need to compensate people for their investment....

Those three years will feel like eternity for some. 😓

Not just an eternity, but an insufferable eternity, which must however be endured no matter what. What is scary is the prospect of what replaces the Great Orange Shitstain, and how long it takes for the country to heal from the injuries he is inflicting. It will be a long road to recovery, if the first year is anything to go by, including Venezuela.

I have been working on a "gamified" model to understand and to an extent even predict (the possible next moves) the geo-politico-military mechanics but I am not sure where to post that on the forum. Perhaps a thread of its own? (Is it allowed to start a thread based on a theory developed in-house?) - it's a working model as of now and I think input from other members will help refine it greatly.

I, along with many others, will look forward to such a thread. Please post it up when you are ready to discuss it.
