Bangladesh will not play T20 World Cup games in India over safety concerns

Time to use all that influence you have in ICC, power is useless if you don't use it. If some county club level board can threaten BCCI other tiny boards will start acting up.
Playing in IPL is not a right, it's a privilege. After spreading hate against India online, do you think Indians will be okay to have Bangladeshi players playing in IPL? The audience is outraged which forced BCCI to release the BD player. That should've been it in fact stupid BCCI shouldn't have had BD players in the roaster but despite all that gotta give it to the Hakla boi to not read the room and select a BD player for $1 million.

Such entitlement and delusion. Typical of Hindutva bhakts.

No one is crying because of not being able to play in IPL. Everyone understands it is not a right.

The issue is about your BCCI and Indian Government being too incompetent to provide security to a single player, after threats from Hindutva retards claiming to invade pitch and disrupt the tournament. BCCI caved and asked KkR to release him.

From Bangladesh perspective - if you can't provide security for one Bangladeshi player, how the hell are you going to provide security to the entire team plus stuff.

Didn't you use the same ground to not play in Pakistan? Bunch of hypocrites.

As for spreading hatred and misinformation - you guys are masters at it globally. Plus when it comes to lynching minorities - you guys have been a champion at that too.

You Hindutva lots hypocrisy knows no bound.

None of this was the stated reasoning for the release of Mustafizur.

Why has BCCI not simply stated that this was the case if it is, as you imply, the underlying truth? Is there some fear of repercussions for discriminating against players in this way?

MOD EDIT

Situation escalated and the issue warrants a new thread.

Indians can't guarantee Fizz protection from the Hindutva terrorists. So BCCI asked KKR to drop Fizz.

BCB should demand for all t20 World cup Bangladeshi matches to be played in Sri Lanka. Clearly Indians are not capable of protecting a single player, let alone the entire team.

Pakistan also has concerns. PCB should come forward and share its concerns.

The audience he is referring to is Hindutva goons calling to invade pitch if Mustafiz is selected.

BCCI realized they cannot provide protection and caved in. Therefore Bangladeshi Cricket Board's position about safety of cricketers is completely justified.

Bro, we did the same thing. It would be like pot calling kettle black.

Where did we do the same thing?

Did we ban Indian media personalities or cricketers on the basis of them lynching their Muslim minorities? We kept cricket separate. It's BCCI who started the issue by involving politics in sports.

Keep your nonsense to yourself.

If India is not safe for Bangladeshi players, then other nations should question their security arrangements also.

Who is to say hindutva mobs won't compromise the safety of any player based on some obscure social media post or some simple innocent criticism of India? If their hordes are hypersensitive, then maybe matches should be played behind closed doors. Indeed, this is what happens in football if "fans" cannot behave.

Certain friends on this very thread @Vikramaditya1 seem to even offer tacit middle class justification for this behaviour, instead of simply condemning ANY threat of violence or discord in the stands of a sporting event.

By all means all Bangladesh matches should be moved to Sri Lanka if time and logistics permit.
Considering the world cup is scheduled to played is less than a month.

If there isn't enough time then Bangladesh should be asked to forfeit it's matches if it doesn't want to travel to India.

However all bilateral series with Bangladesh should be cancelled including India's tour Bangladesh in Sep 2026.

Bangladesh should be removed from any multilateral series involving India.

We haven't. Only Indians refused to play in other countries. They always, always, initiate this.
I was talking from Bangladeshi perspective as the clowns currently controlling BCB didn't let Shakib, who is possibly one of the greatest all-rounders in the world and undoubtedly the greatest cricketer ever to play for Bangladesh to play his final matches in Bangladesh jersey.

However, these hypocrites expect India to allow Fizz to play in the IPL and started crying as soon as he got kicked out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he contractually signed to play with the club and past clubs, for the IPL? If that's the case, then it's not so much a privilege than it is a right, as it's binding. Privilege implies an invitation.

Stop changing the goal post with unrelated off topic issues to suit your argument.

How is Shakib related to India-Bangladesh geopolitics? Shakib was an internal issue. He chose to become an MP while being active in cricket. If anything Shakib mixed politics with cricket.

You suddenly woke up to the realisation India is not safe after all these months. Lol! Don't deflect, it is what it is. You didn't like your player getting booted off IPL. Otherwise you would've announced this decision sooner than right after IPL auction.

So you had players up for auction in IPL cuz money is good, gets booted, "oh no security situation bad". Lol! Yeah sure. IPL is not some tiny league the security is going to be tight not because of Hindutva, hardly ever there was any attack of Hindutva on cricket players in India nice try though.

Indian and other cricket teams in India travel in a random tourist bus. In Pakistan they travel in a presidential convoy with jammers and minesweapers with full blown protection that doesn't scream safety to me.

And nobody deserves an explanation for release of Mustafizur. Indian fans didn't want it, we allayed our dispute with BCCI by being vocal in public forums, the BCCI acted on it. This is the chronology of events and it's rather simple.
