Yes but not in Pakistan-India scenario has it lacks stand off weapons. It will be used in air superiority role only.

Other than paveways and maybe JDAMs, we don't have any standoff munitions available on F-16s. I wish we can integrate Turk SOMs on it.

Good question. Maybe decision to preserve was taken late.

Some clarifications please, for PAF main roles now and expected in future:

J10s - air superiority
F16s - multi role and Air to Ground
Mirages - Anti ship
JF17 - multi role
F7s - CAP, point defence?

Future ( wish list)
F16Vs - multi role and Air to ground
J35 - Air superiority, deep strike, wingman control (Chinese drones)
Kaan - Air superiority, deep strike, wingman control (Turkish drones)

No stand-off capability so role will be air-to-air against India.

J-10 with AESA and PL-15 are better than F-16. So both will be used. Except Rafale, our F-16 is still better than all other aircraft in IAF.

Agreed, we are so fixated on their 28-32 Rafales we forget the rest of their fleet is really long in the tooth now

Why JF17 block 3 is neglected for AA role ? I think jf17 with pl15 is match for all fleet of IAF if not for rafale.

Not neglected. Even JF-17 block 2 was in A2A role in 2019 with SD-10.
