The identified group responsible for the failed attempted terror attack is Bashir Zeb group of banned BLA.

Intresting thing is that BLA Bashir Zeb group operates from Afghanistan Helmand and Qandhar regions

Didn't you see the videos of the aftermath of attacks on TTA positions in Afghanistan? They were mopping up their supplies in plain sight. It's a business.

Then some people here say why can't we see developments in KPK and Baluchistan, well the people of Baluchistan blow any and every development in their own state, and now planning to blow stuff in other states, so much for a "Azaad Baluchistan", and yet our people will bury their heads in sand and say its not them, its India/Ijrael/Thanos. People involved in carrying the explosive, transport, giving shelter and one who will do the deed all Pakistani's. The Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said on Monday that a major terrorist attack had been averted in Karachi.

Addressing a press conference alongside CTD Additional Inspector General (IG) Zulfiqar Ali Larik in Karachi, CTD Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ghulam Azfar Mahesar said that law enforcement agencies and the “premier intelligence agency” received information that terrorists were planning an attack to target the city.

In such cases torture is a must to extract every detail from terrorists. Once others involved have been traced and apprehended, Pakistani law enforcement MUST also apprehend the terrorist family members.

My guess is more towards the Baloch groups, given their more recent history of attacks in Karachi. Nonetheless this was a huge VBIED, caught later than i'd prefer but at least it was caught. That said, if the rumors of the intended target being Dolmen is true then potentially ISKP could be involved as it falls under their MO. Nonethless, good thing it was caught. @RescueRanger This is probably your domain w.r.t explosives, would love to know your thoughts.

Sorry I have been away from the forum due to work and just now catching up to @'s and tags in my inbox. The threat of a large IEDs is still there but diminished - tactics the dog's use now have now evolved to using weaponized RC vehicles, quad's and small scale IEDs to allow the assault force a chance at entry.

Dogs from our western border have been probing our check posts recently as you will have noticed - this is not new but the trend shows a change in fighting tactics for the TTP and its allies - since winter is not normally the fighting season. The Manchester Arndale bombing was a case study - others too like the Oklahoma bombing, Marriott and others where such large scale attacks have succeeded.

Terrorists have evolved in how they carry out attacks, you will have seen this recently both inside Pakistan and elsewhere. Keep in mind that in our last assault on Afghanistan we had visuals of a truck being loaded with barrels of alleged ANFO.

That large amount of ANFO would be hard to pass through undetected, as for the threat of ISKP - we have seen how the TTP and its erstwhile offshoots have reached out to both the ETIM and IKSP holdouts inside Afghanistan.

TTP has been reorganizing on a massive scale inside Afghanistan, I discussed this last time on October 16th on this forum:
