Didn't you see the videos of the aftermath of attacks on TTA positions in Afghanistan? They were mopping up their supplies in plain sight. It's a business.

Is this really true? this could cause huge disaster.

A disaster which would have been unmatched to any terrorist attack known to us in this region.

It could have killed multiple thousands of people not just in Dolman Mall but adjacent shopping plazas as well.

don't know but does it matter , all of them are huge supermarkets and are in very crowded parts of karahi , casualties would have been in the thousands

I think most people here dont understand the scale of explosion it could have been.
This was more or less 2100 kg of explosives which probably included AN based explosives and the Plastic high explosives...
We have seen similar truck based explosives made by the IRA :

This had around 1500 kg of semtex and AN based explosives...Even after the UK police evacuated 75000 people there were 250 injuries...

There was one on US By a ax payer in OKLAHOMA
It has 2100 kg of amonium nitrate..

Sarab goth is like a trucking and cargo area...a lot of afghans have storage sites,landa bazaars etc etc there(even the vbied was packed with LANDA(old clothes) to hide it..so its difficult to track it..the population of afghansi in karachi have significantly reduced in the southern part of the city where i live while it is still more in places where tracking is hard

My guess is more towards the Baloch groups, given their more recent history of attacks in Karachi. Nonetheless this was a huge VBIED, caught later than i'd prefer but at least it was caught. That said, if the rumors of the intended target being Dolmen is true then potentially ISKP could be involved as it falls under their MO. Nonethless, good thing it was caught. @RescueRanger This is probably your domain w.r.t explosives, would love to know your thoughts.
