It's states that they might spend $2 billion on other equipment perhaps it's less a sale and more of a straight up cash injection into the Pakistani defense sector.

Doesn't make sense, I mean does Saudi air force really has a need for lightweight fighter let alone JF-17? Even if Pakistan convinced Saudi to convert the $2 billion loan to some defence deal couldn't they had gone for something else like cruise missiles or drones?

Does saudi airforce have aimraam 120D? And what about its a-to-g ? Are they all from usa and expensive?

may this is JFT blk 3 for Saudi Air force to be flown by PAF with all kind of Air to ground ammo and PL15. This could be useful in localized conflict as well as other future deterrence.
