Not sure about the 120D but last year Saudi ordered about 1000 AIM 120 C-8's and they use a variety of US and European air-to-ground missiles. That's my point, they are the rich fellas so why such sudden interest in JF-17?Does saudi airforce have aimraam 120D? And what about its a-to-g ? Are they all from usa ane expensive?
@side-winder @Ali_Baba
Dont know but i guess it is the weapon system with JF-17 that will be more important for saudi.. what if they also want to retire all tornado idf? Those are somewhere 80s i guessNot sure about the 120D but last year Saudi ordered about 1000 AIM 120 C-8's and they use a variety of US and European air-to-ground missiles. Personally I think Pakistan should convince Saudi to fund for its indigenous PFX project R&D. Maybe make Saudi (bring in Turkey too) part of the program, which Saudi will also receive some air crafts after successful induction.
Dunno, maybe as @Toxic has said, the Saudi must be secretly financing for some client state or close ally. Like Yemen for e.g. does Saudi aligned Yemeni govt. have an air force? Maybe to counter UAE backed forces or Houthi's Saudi might lend them with the JF-17 jets.Dont know but i guess it is the weapon system with JF-17 that will be more important for saudi.. what if they also want to retire all tornado idf? By the way if saudi bought JF for its own airforce replacing tornado then saudi can finance the weaponary production facility for our JFs which will be a win for bothDunno, maybe as @Toxic has said, the Saudi must be secretly financing for some client state or close ally. Both 1 & 2 especially w.r.t Nigeria. Burma is missing context.1. Are you saying that it is debunked because of its affiliation/intent, or are you saying it is debunked because the substance of what it is reporting has been shown to be incorrect?
2. Do either of the above also apply to the Burmese source linked above?

Technical Problems Ground Myanmar’s JF-17 Fighter Jets Bought From China
The $25-million jets arrived with structural problems but post-coup sanctions and a lack of local expertise make it impossible to fix them, ex-Air Force pilots say.www.irrawaddy.com
they did say extra 2 billion , so this is loan forgiveness packaged with purchase of jf17 worth 2 billion dollars .could always be used in the LIFT role i guess...but as days go on, it sounds Reuters has employed rajabaja and mastankhan... if we cant pay the loans, how are we going to pay to build the jets...?
i mean i guess if ksa wants some top tier chinese missiles, the least risky way to do that is via jf-17 deal is with pak, so mr trump cant get too antsy about a saudi j10 buy etcthey did say extra 2 billion , so this is loan forgiveness packaged with purchase of jf17 worth 2 billion dollars .
pretty smart man .i mean i guess if ksa wants some top tier chinese missiles, the least risky way to do that is via jf-17 deal is with pak, so mr trump cant get too antsy about a saudi j10 buy etc
This is what doesn’t make sense. We can’t payback the debt, but we can afford to make Jets worth billions in cost and give them away to settle past debt, how? How will the cash flow and foreign currency component of the project work?could always be used in the LIFT role i guess...but as days go on, it sounds Reuters has employed rajabaja and mastankhan... if we cant pay the loans, how are we going to pay to build the jets...?
