I've been saying this forever, Turkey Research and Development and Saudi money is a deadly combination.

Turkey develops and Saudi funds, both keep intellectual property and Turkey does transfer of technology and knowhow to Saudi and jointly export. Both benefit, a much better investment than Saudi giving the US 1 Trillion or Softbank in japan billions. This one actually ties into the geopolitical interests of both brotherly countries. Add the Pakistanis in as well if Man power is needed. A development ecosystem neither reliant on the West, nor China and fully sovereign amongst states with mutual interests.

Investment funds should be set up in Ankara to fuel this matter and attract capital.

Qatar has been doing this, but at a smaller scale with their investment in BMC fueling growth of a small company into a formidable exporter, Saudi doing it would be a complete gamechanger.

Kosovo continues its military procurements from Türkiye

Kosovo has received ROKETSAN-made OMTAS Medium-Range Anti-Tank Missile Systems

Other countries haven't announced their results yet, but we've probably made it into the top 10.😎✨🎉🎉🎉🎉

🔴Haluk Bayraktar: “Skydagger production line has reached an annual capacity of 120,000 drones.

🚀 From the electric motor to the flight control computer, from the FPV body to the battery, from video communication to the warhead, every component is domestic, national, and original...”

10,000 FPV drones a month from this company alone.

Turkey really should take advantage of its deep logistics and supply chain and its technical capacity for building the entire drone ecosystem inhouse in Turkey.

No one is Europe has a deeper industrial capacity and more economical ecosystem for the production of these drones. It should be leveraged even if Turkey is not at war where this production capacity would be getting used up. Flooding Ukraine with these drones would sustain the production rate domestically. As well as flooding the rest of the market worldwide, and even the commercial market. Military capacity is also dependent on civilian capacity.

Its difficult to say b/c the numbers for other countries are all over the place, and places like SIPRI measure by percentage and also 5 year averages, not individual years, b/c of fluctuations.

But I think Turkey is competitive on the list of Top 10 and Top 15. I'd say probably somewhere close to Israel or South Korea.

The actual number amount doesn't matter as much as growth rate year on year IMO. B/c Turkey hasn't hit full capacity or hit stangnation yet, like say France and the UK. Those places are very high but they aren't growing at the same rate, their customer base and offerings aren't expanding as fast. Whereas Turkey is still building systems and hasn't offered many things yet on the market due to domestic demand.

I think Turkey should push forward the aviation sector its a big money maker for Turkey

the Kaan and the trainer/light attack is a good combination to offer + UAVS and UCAVS , like they did with Indonesia and Spain

Pakistan has done it with the JF17 + K8 trainer + Super Mushshak

big contracts from Azerbaijan $4.6 billion and Libya (pending ) $4.4 billion

plenty of money can be made by adding support like simulators and training packages with missiles and bombs

hope Turkey can reach $15 billion by 2030 and I think even probably they can top $20 billion if the warship exports keep going because the Naval sector is booming in Turkey too

5th generation fighters, advanced trainers, UAVS and warships are where the money is

all the others help off course

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz: (Defense Industry Capabilities Management Summit) 14.01.2026

Our goal was to surpass $10 billion by 2028, to reach double-digit export figures. Our defense industry is developing and progressing faster than we planned.

At the end of last year, in December, our monthly exports exceeded $2 billion. Our annual exports surpassed $10 billion, reaching double-digit export figures in the defense industry for the first time in our history.

This has given us all great pride
