KABUL (Pajhwok): India has sent medical aid to Afghanistan, including cancer medicines, vaccines, and a 128-slice CT scan machine, as part of its ongoing humanitarian support.

On Tuesday, Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, led a delegation to India at the invitation of the Indian government.

The visit aimed to strengthen health cooperation between the two countries, exchange expertise, and coordinate joint efforts.

Jagat Prakash Nadda, India’s Health Minister, wrote on his X that India has reaffirmed its commitment to continued humanitarian assistance and healthcare cooperation with Afghanistan, with a particular focus on the long-term supply of medicines.

He said: “We made a symbolic handover of cancer medicines and vaccines, reflecting India’s commitment to support the medical needs of the Afghan people. A larger consignment of medicines, vaccines, and a 128-slice CT scanner is also being dispatched to Afghanistan.”

Yes friend that’s how it’s always been. What’s a terrorist, it’s just a political group you don’t like; Unless of course it’s an isolated incident done wholly by an individual without political affiliations.

Everything at the end of the day is politics. Either it’s active politics (violence) seeking an end; Or passive politics (dialogues) seeking an end.

The European nations have for the most part moved past violence. Middle eastern nations, or rather the greater Middle Eastern nations, are still stuck in medieval mindsets. unless they adopt liberal views; Separation of powers, separation of church and state, due process, safe guarding of life, liberty, and property.

The two things I would say the European nations got wrong was either the socialization of the means of production or privatization of the means of production. Obviously privatization as it allows for economic calculation, and socialization of it led to dictatorship. And the second mistake was removing the gold standard, the gold standard kept money honest, now it’s endless inflation and debt.

It’s going to be a long road ahead for this region to reach democracy, implement the gold standard, ownership of the private means of production, separate church and state, but if it ever does, only then will this region prosper.

Afghanistan’s Taliban government has appointed its first senior official in India since the group returned to power in 2021, charged with leading their embassy in Delhi.

India has not officially recognised the Taliban government, but the move signals a deepening engagement, with New Delhi seeking to exploit divisions between Islamabad and Kabul.

Noor Ahmad Noor, a Taliban foreign ministry official, assumed responsibility as charge d’affaires, and has already held meetings with Indian officials, the embassy said in a statement.

“Both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening Afghanistan-India relations,” the Afghan Embassy said, in a post on X late Monday.

India has not commented, but the Afghan embassy posted a photograph of Noor with senior Indian foreign ministry official Anand Prakash.

The Taliban’s strict interpretation of Islamic law may appear an unlikely match for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist government, but India has sought to seize the opening.

Nuclear-armed rivals India and Pakistan fought a brief but deadly clash in May 2025, their worst confrontation in decades.

The appointment is significant for the Taliban, which has sought to reclaim control over Afghanistan’s overseas diplomatic missions as part of a broader push for international legitimacy.

In October, India said it would upgrade its technical mission in Afghanistan to a full embassy.

Russia is the only country to officially recognise the Afghan Taliban government.

KABUL (TOLONews): India’s Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday hosted the fourth meeting of the India-Afghanistan Joint Coordination Committee in New Delhi.

The meeting was co-chaired by Shuaib Baryalai, Director General of the First Political Division at Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Anand Prakash, Joint Secretary for Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran at India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

According to Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the two sides reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations, including cooperation in humanitarian assistance, development partnerships, food security, healthcare, capacity building, education, sports and regional connectivity.

The meeting also covered visa issuance, challenges facing bilateral trade, and ways to strengthen exports and imports between Kabul and New Delhi.

India has not formally recognized the Islamic Emirate. However, it has previously announced plans to reopen its embassy in Kabul, a move that has yet to materialize.

Maiwand Jarat, a political analyst, said: “The closer Afghanistan becomes economically with a major power like India, the more it will help reduce the country’s international isolation and encourage other countries to expand their political engagement with Afghanistan.”
