I saw Indian are having a complete meltdown since the news came out yesterday,when you are seen vulnerable, vultures are circling around you, this is IAF's situation right now.

I guess number must be 90+ considering requirements for CCS/ACE training squadron which obviously will be a smaller one. But we need at least 2X squadron for each air command minimum. Real threat matrix will emerge once IAF get all its Rafale and deploye them at permanent bases. PAF will have to go batch-by-batch I guess due to economic mess our elite has created.

It will take them at least till 2030-31 to have 100 Rafales in service (IAF and IN included)

That's comfortable 4 years for PAF to sell JF-17s and earn export $$$ and plan 8-10 per year J-10 Inductions.

Groundwork, integration of datalinks and tactics development by PAF already has done with J-10s, so absorbing additional numbers would be easy.

But you cant say the same for Rafales for India, since their IN will still be learning and their IAF, well, by the looks of it from May 7th clash their Rafales are still majorly flown by clowns.

@Deino

Dear sir, can you give an idea what are production number per batch? i mean single batch production amounts to how many aircraft? (J-10CE production?)

what i was informed i stand by it

20 ordered
16 option confirmed recently after Jun-25 war
54 planned

Total: 5 x Sqns planned with DACT Sqn

J-35 on back burner - no needed know urgently because India did not go for F-35
we have 10 years.
I agree with fifth gen plane on back burner theory, and want it to be too. J-10C is a new induction and we are still absorbing it logistically, we cannot fast track the logistics of another new platform. Also in the new warfare, physical stealth is not superior to the mastery of electromagnetic spectrum and 'digital stealth'. What we need are longer range on our missiles for the next round and more J-10CEs....
