US Political News and Trump’s China visit

Thailand no but Vietnam ok?
Very Interesting
This feels like it could be about social welfare, but I'm not fully convinced. There aren't that many Thai Americans to begin with, and I keep hearing this "Vietnamese Americans rely on welfare" line from people in Vietnam. So I'm wondering if that's what whoever made the list is implying.
Those bastards in Thailand dare to buy Chinese tanks. BAN!
Indonesia isn't on the list and if I remember correctly, they have been trying to procure Chinese fighter jets.

I can understand the ban on elderly parents

But a ban on wife/husband/children would be hard to pass in a court when challenged........lets see if they can keep families apart, the rights groups will definitely win against Trumps stupidity

It is traditional practice by immigration authorities/consular officials not to grant visas to wife/minor kids if they believe those people cannot supported by the sponsoring person. It has nothing to do with Trump. It is the law. May be not enforced in the recent past

I am unsure of the procedures in Canada; however, when I sponsored my wife to immigrate to the United States, I was required to provide an affidavit of support, along with pay stubs and other documentation. As I managed my own business operations, I also obtained a notarized letter from my accountant and submitted bank statements.

There was a certain threshold you had to meet.

very embarrassing, well this company own by Steve Witkoff son and Trump 3 sons have partnership in the company, around 40 percent of share ....and you know Trump will be happy when see this picture..... These Generals has fvcked the country right and left.

@RescueRanger I pointed this out yesterday, Lol.

Venezuela not on the list?

China, Mexico, India?

What about Canada, Greenland, and Belize?

(Note: see Belize on the list. Nevermind)

Half of America won't mind seeing California on the list too.

Venezuela is a US colony now, so they are allowed.

Probably a mix

Trump’s category is excluding people from third world countries such as Somalia. Second category is welfare percentage, third category probably visa overstaying, crime rate.
About taking welfare from the state that’s nothing special. sizable percentage of Vietnamese take welfare in Germany, France, US, Swiss, etc.
But there should be a plus. Means, more people contribute to the state then take from it.

Cavity... cavity.... cavity.... cavityyyyyy......

Americans don't get it.

For some people a cavity search is a turn on.

Anyway... after my older cousin became a Texan, he turned into an a'hole. I don't know what made that happen.

So all this is probably for the best.

Thailand is on a declining trend, so its status. The US gov just downgraded it to reflect the reality.

BTW, before we call Americans evil or whatever, I would ask you to remember the happy old days at Karachi airport when we made travelers from Nigeria lie down on the conveyor belt that passes your bags through the X-ray. God knows what dose of radiation they got.. but we assumed Africans are tough cookies so bloody what.

We never found the famous Nigerian Prince. So it was a wasted effort.

Why have they not banned Indians? They are the ones stealing their jobs, no?

@r3alist @Dalit @Meengla

Regards
The criterion for the ban is the likelihood of becoming 'public charge', i.e. consumers of tax than payers of tax. Based on past data, they found immigrants from non-ban countries pay more in taxes and take less from taxes. It is an economic decision.
