Doubt this is coming anytime soon as India is likely to get 5th gen in 2040>.

Better work on all these export orders and get out of IMF before thinking about J-35.

Oh this is most relevant in a way! I mean i don't know if the particular meeting has any relevance at all.....but honestly I don't know why we keep discussing this chinese factory or that chinese factory etc. for the timeline of the PAF J-35 induction. Whereas at this point it seems that "field marshal" aka retired General's (as of now) relationship with Trump is a much bigger factor in the 'timeline'.

SAC's new factory project plans have been publicly available for a long time.
In China, this type of information is legally required to be disclosed. From the moment they received land approval, all information had to be made public.
I don't know how our Pakistani friends are monitoring or analyzing this information, but it certainly isn't "breaking news."

Frankly speaking, The PAF's procurement volume will not be a large number. The total number of J-35 series fighter jets currently produced by SAC's old factory (including those already delivered, those ready for delivery, and those currently in production) is already a substantial figure.

I suggest that our primary focus should be on:
1. What is the current level of technological maturity of the J-35 series fighter jet?
2. When will the PAF officially place an order?

I think an order has been placed, though I don't have an official source for it but word of mouth of a senior PAF official, so let's wait for that. My point was that the claims of J-35 coming to PAF in 2025 were baseless, but now at least there is an actual chance of meeting the predicted timeline of 2026-27.

we can't get J-16 because J-16's design is based on Russian Su-30MKK/MKK2, only avionics wise J-16 is different from Su-30, hence we can't get J-16 because its design is Russian intellectual property

we have no $$$ to get 100 J-35, and J-35 would be a tip of the spear for PAF and tip of thee spear is always much in less numbers than workhorse,, Just like in PLAAF workhorse is J-11 series of jets not J-20, so I assume 40/72 J-35 would be enough for Pakistan along with 100+ J-10C

J-35s will come when PAF wants them to come. No amount of Funds or this or that BS will stop it. What this means is, PAF will decide to procure them when it sees that current PAF assets are no longer enough to hold off the IAF in the east.

PAF has learnt many lessons from the May war and also from the CM strikes that India conducted along with the S-400 threat. So if PAF feels that J-35s will give it an edge, then they will come immediately, even if just single squadron strength.

J-35 is rapidly evolving and PAF would want some customizations for its strike/air superiority needs.

So lets rest this topic for a while.
