Agree, it should become standard airframe for all spec ops platforms.

I would love to see a Pakistani homegrown AESA AEW&C platform built on the L1000, the engines should be able to generate the power required and the size of the platform should allow for the appropriate level of EW equipment to be installed for multi-domain surveillance.

Given the development of land based radars in Pakistan now, Pakistan can't be that far technically from building their own AEW&C ?

How many Hangor class will you have operational in 2026?
How many ships will be operational with SMASH?
How many Babur's will be available for wartime deployment?

None im afraid maybe 1 f-22p for testbed
None they dont have any AShM

First sea-sultan will come in mid 2026 but again they would require another half-year to truly deploy in threat environment

I was wondering apart from the antiship cruise capability of the of the SEA SULTANs with maybe harpoons or some chinese Supersonic missile like cm302 , what will be AShBM capability? Will it have wing based pylon like the p8 (the bomb bay is somewhat a truth).

I have seen the Zios testing the AIR LORA with their P8 or just giving it as a concept...
Maybe not those huge chinese Albms but can we launch the YJ21E or the SMASH(1st varient) from the sultans...It would be an epic capability from stand off ranges..it would kinda act like a bomber...it would accompany the j10s yj21e(hopium) and the ship based missiles we are kinda developing.

IN will probably not have proven ship BMD for the next decade probably so some deterrence for that will be helpful. @Oscar , @JamD , @Ak01

It all depends on wing box strength and additional reinforcement(and weight) they add on.

Both have totally different roles, so a comparison will not be accurate

have we got too many players involved in this project ?

at this rate to get all 10 it will take another 24 years at this rate

we need to seriously speed this up , I understand first unit would be slow but come get a move on guys

The design, integration work and testing will take time for the first of this platform. Once that is tested+signed off, then manufacturing can speed up. There is no reference design for Sea Sultan until Pakistan "created it". Think of it as a development project.

Also, as with all things in Pakistan, lack of money tends to slow down everything.

i would argue its the opposite of slow!

Actually this supplied first Sea Sultan unit is only for pilots training & VIP transport. Additional and actual LRMPA's currently on going conversion in South Africa will be online by end of this year hopefully
