Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Seems like it.

Having said that, if they want more than symbolic strikes, they need to operate 2 carrier groups.

Tomahawks + 1 CSG is probably not enough. Unless Trump is planning a one-and-done.

Another possibility is 1 CSG + Tomahawks from Submarines + Israeli firepower.
Its not going to be a symbolic strike. Maybe that’s what they believe in Iran? Either they are overconfident and think they can handle full firepower from US/Israel. Or they have no confidence and stuck in decision paralysis.

As China told Iran to back down and not harm the Chinese economy in june with a closing of the Gulf oil and gas. I am sure china is on the phone with trump to tell trump not to attack Iran, now that Iran is vulnerable, when Iran was in command in June.

I forgot /s

China only cares about china and trusts Putin plans. Is guided by western spy Jeffrey sachs.

I noticed that Israelis and Americans love to project themselves on others
pretty funny. one of the newest countries in the world that is not even recognised by 85% of the world and was built on forced ethnic cleansing and displacement and maintained by a brutal military occupation is calling one of the oldest countries in the world artificial?

Trump doesn't like messy, long wars. he wants quick in and out shock and awe attacks without prolonged conflict.

he also doesn't like regime change, and prefers to empower weaker elements of the existing power structure. like he abandoned Machado and Reza Pahlavi because he knows they can't really control the country, and there is a risk of total chaos.

so it's really not clear what the US hopes to achieve in such a short attack. I can only think that they want to kill Khamenei if he doesn't speak to them directly.

Israel is a wild card and has very different objectives. they actively seek chaos and destruction in Iran so they can weaken Iran permanently. if there are refugee or civil war issues that's not their problem since they are far away and don't care about stability in the region anyway. they rather live next to neighbours reduced to rubble.

Ability? Yes

Appetite? 0% chance
there are 5 US navy destroyers in the Persian Gulf right now

they can be overwhelmed with ASBMs and ASCMs relatively easily. not to mention the 20+ midget Ghadir subs and 3 Kilo subs.

Houthis couldn't do it but they launched relatively small salvos, Iran could do it if the US doesn't successfully suppress fire from the entire coastline first

but it's a last chance saloon to go out swinging, because if you do it there is no going back, you sealed your fate

WSJ Op-Ed calling for partition of Iran:

A Fractured Iran Might Not Be So Bad

Its borders are artificial, and a breakup would frustrate the interests of Russia, China and others.

Meanwhile, nobody outside Iran is providing arms to the populace as the regime mows them down mercilessly. For the sake of regional and world peace, the best option may be to help secession happen and thereby take a downsized Iran, freed from a murderous regime, off the geopolitical chessboard entirely.

lmao calling Iran an artificial country
Most countries Crack down...and won't let the splinter ethnic natives speak their own language..so it dies out. Look at Africa, colonial France and Russia..etc
We made a mistake, we're too kind, we let the splinter groups keep their language intact. Now, we have groups that can easily be radicalized because they don't fully identify as Persians.

A good old fashioned crushing of the satrapies is in order. Where is Artaxerxes when you need him?

It was a good move from Iran to show the morgue and bodybags. It's transparant and gives an idea to both the terrorists, rioters and naive people about how a civil war will look like. People have to be more responsible and politically aware.

I know an Iranian Kurd from work. He is pro Shah but also wants part of Iran to be broken up and become of Kurdistan. Balkanisation is the ultimate Westoid goal.
