Bangladesh will not play T20 World Cup games in India over safety concerns

Profitability of Indian cricket. Disney overpaid for the cricket broadcast rights not realizing how gareeb India is. Thereafter it had to sell its India unit to Ambani who then went on to push for an exit from the broadcasting rights. Ambani with the entire backing of the Indian state machineries couldn't do anything.

Let me know the average revenue per user from indian cricket.

Even the youtubers who used to rage bait Indians for views are stopping as they are slowly finding out the real value of Indian views.

Sure buddy..why don't do it... rather than just boasting about it.

Just in 2 days time..all your boast will be laid bare.
It will come at a time of our choosing, not yours. When it comes, don't go crying to Poland.

The truth is that money talks, and BCCI generates most of it in international cricket. BCCI's annual revenue is over 2.2 billion USD, which is around 30x that of Cricket Australia, which is the next richest board. Top international cricketers from most countries can make more money in one season of IPL than they woud earn in their entire career as international cricketers. So, it is delusional to think that BCCI will not control the ICC and have huge leverage because the BCCI generates most of of its revenue domestically and can afford to pull India out of international cricket completely because the world's best cricketers that BCCI allows will still come and play in the IPL. Even in international cricket, most of the money is generated by India playing Australia and England and to a lesser extent South Africa and the other countries are essentially side-shows as far the money is concerned.
This simply not true.

The "marquee fixture" vs. Pakistan on each tournament is one of the most lucrative fixtures for BCCI.

Sure, they can live without this fixture. So they shouldn‘t mind losing it permanently.

Indians and their obsession with shoving politics in the only sports they are any good at, is killing cricket.
I still remember, back in 2019 world cup, they hired a "Free Balochistsn" towing prop plane, flying circles above the stadium in Leeds, during Afg Vs Pak match.
There was no connection between that and a cricket match, but Indians being dirty, felt the need to do that anyway.
I was there in the stadium and was so angry.

We Pakistanis hired Free Kashmir towing plane in their match with SriLanka at the same stadium. Then they came out with issuing statements about decency and sportsman spirit , but never condemning their own actions.

Thats why i always say that the language Indians understand is neither peace nor decency. Give them a taste of their own medicine and stand against their bullying. They cant take it.

Just like you do about India sitting in the UK.
UK is practically a dalit predominant state of the Indian empire these days, with gig income moped riders sustaining the whole economy. We are very well placed here to comment on the affairs of Akhand Bharat.

Have you located your Asia Cup trophy yet?

I would have withdrawn from all bilateral fixtures against your qom a long time ago.

Kindly don't drag other nations into your monologues though, as Pakistan has no problem with any of them.

It is understood the ICC has told the BCB to inform the Bangladesh government that if Bangladesh continues to refuse to travel to India to play its matches in the 2026 T20 World Cup, then they will be replaced by another team at the tournament. That decision was followed by a vote, where the majority of the ICC Board was in favour of having a replacement.

BCB have been given one more day to come back to the ICC on its stance on playing in India.

If that is the case, then Scotland is likely to replace Bangladesh in Group C at the World Cup. Scotland had failed to qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup, having finished behind Netherlands, Italy and Jersey at the European Qualifier.

Now we are waiting for the PCB to withdraw from the ICC World Cup.

Pcb is standing behind the bCB, as Pakistan had committed full support to the BCB. If the ICC does not accept the requests made by the BCB, Pakistan will pull out.

In that case, the PCB is also expected not to participate. This is the time to stand by commitments and respond with action, not just words.

News is coming that Pakistan - Bangladesh (pcb and bcb) lost 2 against 14 votes

Pakistan should certainly refuse to play against a team that dictates where it will and won't play on the basis of "security" (not to mention won't shake hands with our citizens).

Have you read the wording of the decision? Hypocrisy at its finest.

“considering all security assessments conducted, including independent reviews, all of which indicated there was no threat to Bangladesh players, media persons, officials and fans at any tournament venues in the country”.

Laughable....when Indian tournament organisers themselves have barred a Bangladeshi player explicitly because they could not guarantee his security.

“...could set a precedent that would jeopardise the sanctity of future ICC events and undermine its neutrality as a global governing body,”

Again risible....considering BCCI demanded their CT 2025 venue move to Dubai despite THEIR OWN SECURITY delegation confirming Pakistani security arrangements were acceptable hardly a month before BCCI "changed their mind" (or had it changed for them).

Also according to ICC: "(Bangladesh's refusal to travel to India was linked to) a single, isolated and unrelated development concerning one of its player’s involvement in a domestic league. This linkage has no bearing on the tournament’s security framework or the conditions governing participation in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup,”

BCCI has itself directly linked Indian ongoing refusal to play against Pakistan in bilateral series to the unrelated Pahalgam incident.

BCCI VP Shukla stated the following last year:

"We are with the victims and we condemn it. Whatever our government will say, we will do. We don't play with Pakistan in bilateral series because of the government stand. And we will not play with Pakistan in bilaterals going forward. But when it comes to ICC event we play due to ICC engagement. ICC is also aware whatever is happening they will to it (sic),"

If Pahalgam is related to Indian cricketers' refusals (that too under instruction from the Indian government), then Bangladesh should be able to cite the IPL incident as justification for WC schedule modifications to suit their needs (whether those needs are security related OR political/ideological).

But alas, the now illiterate and cognitively dysfunctional denizens of Hindustan have little chance of seeing the irony of this situation and the rank hypocrisy on display.

I know you don't believe Indians are that illiterate, but look at Shukla's statement above, verbatim - ffs, what gobbledegook was he even spewing forth that morning?

For the record, Indian cricket is a laughing stock because of this episode among ALL global fans of the game, getting absolutely slated by your white skinned masters for this street level act of hypocrisy. Don't pull the "whites are racist hence they don't want us to succeed" card, when it is simple mental dysfunction that makes so many global cricket fans wonder what went wrong with this once gentlemanly sport.

Looks like we’ve been slapped hard by the ICC for our illogical demand—driven purely by political motives—to move our matches out of India. As expected, no other team has shown any solidarity, and rightly so, because the clowns currently running the BCB have brought this upon themselves. You reap what you sow.

After destroying almost every sector, these morons have now decided to destroy our cricket as well.

Good thing they were given an ultimatum, I think we should vote for suspending them or at least downgrading their status to non test playing if they are dipping from the WC. Put costs as there was probably revenue losses involved.

Who cares about self respect. If India tells us to jump, we will ask how high.

Hail BAL!
