Bangladesh will not play T20 World Cup games in India over safety concerns

Good thing they were given an ultimatum, I think we should vote for suspending them or at least downgrading their status to non test playing if they are dipping from the WC. Put costs as there was probably revenue losses involved.
The problem for Bangladesh is that they used to earn USD 35–50 million by playing against India within one or two year, which is a major portion of their revenue. In comparison, when they play against other countries, they earn much less.

For example, if they play against Pakistan, they earn around USD 8 million.

Tougher days are ahead for Bangladesh. They seemed to believe they could pressure India since an ICC event is being held in India, assuming it was a “chance pe dance” situation with support from PCB—"Begane ke Shaadi me Abdul Diwana"

However, they played it the wrong way, thinking they wanted to repeat the Champions Trophy scenario.

Now, most likely, Pakistan will be in focus. Pakistan usually has only one major card in ICC tournaments—one or two matches against India—which brings the most benefits. I believe this bubble may burst in the future if the BCCI and broadcasters decide not to place India and Pakistan in the same group in ICC tournaments.

That would burst the bubble on which the PCB is currently banking.

Who cares about self respect. If India tells us to jump, we will ask how high.

Hail BAL!
India has repeatedly requested us to visit kolkata to play the t20 tournament. But it's we who just shot ourselves in the foot, and now there is nobody beside us to support or justify our illogical demand.

Wait untill every other team stops visiting Bangladesh and cricket becomes like every other sports where players struggle to fulfill their basic needs such as food and shelter. That's exactly where we r heading.

I don’t blame Pakistan. They did the right thing by not boycotting the ICC tournament, as the PCB’s primary interest was the betterment of their cricket—unlike the clowns currently running the BCB, whose decisions are solely driven by nasty politics. Shame on them for putting the futures of our cricketers at risk. Shame.... Shame.....

Anyone who believes in anything Pakistan says has no one but themselves to blame for

Why should we visit Kolkata when they aren't able to secure one player let alone the entire team, staff and supporters?

It's better we boycott the tournament. At the end of the day we will have self respect and national pride which is worth way more than a bloody game. I don't expect anyone supporting BAL to understand what self respect is.

If BCB bows down to pressure and eventually sends the team, it will not dramatically change our shitty team into a bunch of legends.

At the end of the day we will be pathetic losers with no self respect.

Right now we are just losers in cricket and I am perfectly okay with that. At least we still have self respect and national pride in tact.

Pakistan never officially said they will boycott. It was just media sensationalism.

Let's not drag Pakistan to every issue. At the very least they had our back in the board vote.

Were you a participant of the voting excercise?

It's a revenue for ICC as well so ICC will most likely put IN PK together in every group matches. Australia seperate, in case semi.

It was mostly peddled by over enthusiastic, moronic Bangladeshis. I knew from the very beginning that Pakistan would leave us high and dry and eventually travel to India to play the t20 tournament. But I don’t blame them, they have the right to look after their own interests. Our BCB officials are to be blamed for this misery, as they have brought it upon themselves.

Show me the votes, who voted who, since you're so confident that Pakistan voted for Bangladesh.

Stop wasting my time and ask Cricbuzz, your country's media, since they are reporting as such with confidence.

It's all good. Sport is is not bigger than reputation. We will not play in India and that's our stand.

Looks like Bangladesh got betrayed by some other country, don’t you think? I thought you were claiming that other country was going to boycott the T20 tournament in support of Bangladesh. There’s a saying in Bangla: “Gase tule diye moi kere neoa” lol. Seems like someone pulled this kind of betrayal on Bangladesh yet again. So predictable. :D
