Bangladesh will not play T20 World Cup games in India over safety concerns

It is easy to prioritize one's own honour over someone else's money. Sure, many people in BD may feel that this is an apt reply to the humiliation of Fizz being evicted from the IPL, but, from media reports, Bangladeshi cricketers themselves wanted to play in the World Cup. The real consequences of this decision will also be felt by the families of those Bangladeshis who rely on cricket for earning their livelihoods - who are probably not represented on this forum.

Let us see if the PM and Field Marshal also decide to prioritize Pakistan's national honour or to trade it for money like they usually do, the latest instance being joining Trump's Board of Peace.

Thread is on BD cricket, try not to let your hatred of Pakistan derail it

Yes it is easy. Why are you so bothered that Bangladeshis do not wish to exploited?

This is precisely what @Raj-Hindustani has to say on the matter also.

Trump is a strategic asset. We deploy him against Hindustan in multiple ways. This ceremonial "board of peace" is but one method. Don't lose sleep over it, like Indian media does every time they are not invited to something. Happy to discuss further in a separate thread.

This is not some random biased channel

And this is the hell they expect us to send out players and fans into, forget the rampant communalism

Fundamentally, India needs to fix its poverty problem, overpopulation problem, and lack of basic civic sense problem, before it can function sustainably in normal human society.

Those who live within the mess and have done so all their lives don't have objective understanding of this dilemma, as it is entirely normalised for them - many of the representatives on these very pages suffer from this internalised perspective.

Yet, even these folks can glean a rudimentary understanding by asking themselves why diaspora Indians don't return to settle in their motherland.

Bangladesh were misguided by Pakistan, claims ex-cricketer after T20 World Cup exit

Former India cricketer Madan Lal says Bangladesh were misguided by Pakistan leading to their T20 World Cup exit. The ICC replaced Bangladesh with Scotland after the team refused to travel to India citing security concerns.

Former India cricketer Madan Lal believes Bangladesh were misguided by Pakistan, a move that ultimately led to their exit from the T20 World Cup 2026. Bangladesh were removed from the tournament following their reluctance to travel to India, citing security concerns.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was given a 24-hour deadline on January 23 to confirm whether its team would travel to India as scheduled. However, with no response received within the stipulated timeframe, the ICC announced Scotland as the replacement team.

It's all good. BD came out as winner. Pride matters more than money.

Yes, Bangladesh have no mind of their own . They didn't already know Pakistans playing situation.

What kind of circus are you trying to run here? This is an Indian cricketer's opinion, reported by an Indian media house.

Of course he believes Bangladesh was "misguided" by Pakistan. I'm sure he also believes Lahore port is still ablaze.

This episode has at least exposed one fundamental truth about The Secular Republic of Hindustan and its awami stooges - that they have never actually believed that Dhaka is able to be (or should be allowed to be) in charge of its own destiny.

How did BAL even come into this?
I'm talking about awami stooges, i.e. you.

The point made in reference to these stooges was that precise instruction from Delhi is awaited before choosing a course of action. That instruction is adhered to either entirely willingly or under the apparent blackmail of financial threat.

I put it to you that Dhaka can, and should, determine its own destiny, regardless of instructions and/or economic threats from Delhi.

Bangladesh now faces the sternest test of its 55 year history. You may seek to regard the World Cup issue as an isolated problem, but it is not. It is intimately linked with every other attempt by Delhi to vassalise your qom. You give them an inch, and they will turn you into their property.

All this continues to occur against the backdrop of a convicted Bangladeshi fugitive with blood on her hands being sheltered in Indian territory.

There is little else to say on the matter. The rest is up to Bangladeshis.
