Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

yes iran has to punish them , even more than they do to Israel .

No. Iran should concentrate its firepower on Israel. The Muslim states like Jordan and UAE have puppet rulers and no point punishing the local average people because of the rulers. Besides that, it is Israel which is behind the attack on Iran and they should be the one bearing the maximum cost.

who is saying target local population ?? target the hypocrites directly

I don't think Iran has the unlimited capacity of firing missiles. Yes, there is a deterrence by a threat to cause damage to the infra of any collaborator Arab nation and that deterrence is working for the most part and the deterrence is good. But the bigger gain is to use the limited Iranian resources to inflict damage on Israel. The 12 day war was only stopped because Iran was damaging Israel a lot.

There is only so much economic degradation the state and the people of Iran can take, in exchange for all that you have described.

In the May 2025 conflict with India, Pakistan too had to use its more limited resources judiciously against a much richer, well supplied Indian missile stockpile. The assumption by some here that Iran has virtually unlimited supplies of missiles is wrong. So they should use it judiciously and target the very source of the conflict, which is Israel. It is only the Israeli fear of the repeat of the destruction from the 12 day war which just might prevent a full fledged war. Just might.

Yes, limited resources must be used judiciously. But those limited resources will dry up if the economy goes belly up. Iran's economy is not exactly the picture of health these days. The longer the sanctions stay in place, the worse this situation will get, inevitably.

If Israel does not attack Iran as part of the US attack, then Iran should not attack Israel. What ability does Iran have to engage with the USA and start/fight a war with Israel at the same time?

If Israel does attack at the same time, then yes, Iran will have no choice.

The greater gain is not inflicting pain on Israel, but reducing the freedom of movement that the Jordanians/Qataris/Bahrain provide to the US for these operations. The next operation just becomes alot harder for the US and Israel, if these countries do not collaborate, and that is worth more than hitting targets in Israel imho.

We are discussing an imminent war here, if that happens, and the limited resources argument is in that context. But of course long term Iran has to develop its economy and build a very strong missile attacking capability.

If USA attacks IR, could our AD collapse?!

The 12 day war last year was already made much more difficult because the regional countries had denied the use of their bases and right now it is just speculation that the regional countries are going to provide the support.
I still maintain: Hit the source of this conflict, which is Israel, and hit it hard. HARD!

I am hoping there will either be no war, or a limited one at that, so that both sides are able to figure out a better and mutually beneficial path forward.

I am hoping that too. But the conditions for 'peace' Netanyahu had put forth last year was nothing short of asking for a demilitarized Iran. Once that were to happen then Netanyahu would bomb Iran at will, like he does to Lebanon and Syria.
