Iran border crossings in Balochistan closed ‘indefinitely’:

It’s been going on for decades and nothing has materially changed for it to be the reason of the closure.

The reason for the closure is cause the Saudi and USA have told Pakistan to do it.

If Pakistan has to close the borders, then it should do it if those instructions have come from the Saudi and USA. I am fine with that. I am just point out it has everything to do with getting the bread buttered and nothing to do with security. That is all I am saying.
As far as I am concerned my PRIMARY concern is the security and the sanctity of the state of Pakistan. We know what is on the horizon...

The closure of the border has nothing to do with security issues at the border or BLA and everything to do with the USA telling Pakistan to shut it or else. Let’s not kid ourselves here.

Pakistan of course has no ability to say no to the USA and should not try either as it is Irans flawed war strategy here that has bought things to this impasse… and Pakistan should not face the consequences of Iran’s war strategy.
We destroyed the Iran/Pakistan pipeline at the instructions of the US, and now we are destroying our LNG from Iran at the instructions of the US.

A nation of 250 million.

Perhaps our leadership can just lie on the floor while the US president urinates in their faces? I'm sure it would be a great honour for us.

Yes you have some point but when Iran is funding and supporting proxies in half of middle east, its not quite as straight forward to say No to powers that your remittance and financial aid packages/loans depend on.

Pakistan will get what it needs. No doubt about it.
We also need to crush and end the supply of all the smuggled drugs which is deeply affecting our children/youths
These supplies come from these porous borders operated on both sides by criminal smugglers mafia.

empty threats by nobodies.

Pakistan will do what's necessary on our side of the borders to ensure security.

Question should be asked to the so-called ruling politicians as to why they could not secure enough and timely and cheaper LNG cargoes. Time to go full-on with Solar in entire country. If done properly we can have enough cheap electricity to just replace gas in many places, while we can dig in Balochistan and i am sure we got plenty gas reserves buried. Nuclear power can be used for energy.

Whenever Pakistan tries to secure its borders, these 2 countries always find an issue

It's not whenever, the timing is very suspicious and follows the wishes and plan of homosexual Scott Bessent who is behind these evil fantasies about neighbouring countries closing their borders on Iran while US is attacking, sanctioning and blocking Iranian exports and imports. Appointed puppet in Iraq (Al-Zaydi) is also suddenly "securing" its borders.

Maybe if neighbours of Iran get into war against India, Afghanistan, Syria, Isis Iran should start securing its borders as well.

Poppy cultivation in Balochistan was extensive in 2025: farms were large and in some areas the crop occupied as much as 70% of total agricultural land.

PLEASE remember which side your bread is buttered.
I don't see why would Iranians or their supporters in Pakistan be upset/mad about this decision because according to them, Pakistan is not a neutral Party in Iran war, and Pakistan role of mediation was just bad to save America/GCC, I mean you just have to go see the main Iran war thread and you can see it, so if Pakistan close the border then Iran should be happy that no more mediation, no more double game, and no one will stop them with stupid Islamabad memorandum's to completely oblitrate the American forces, so I don't think Pakistan needs to explain anything to anyone to why we close the border because no matter what reason Govt give, the Iranians and their Pakistani supporters will not believe it anyway.

Ok faujeeeti

Looks your like your hardly state did a U turn …

Such idiots you are …

For a Australian who is living in UAE, you seems to show a lot of concern for Pakistan, why? you should be happy with your own country no?

if you can't handle other viewpoints then u got no business being on a defense forum.....are we supposed to support your viewpoints blindly?

seriously why do u guys need to label people every time ?

WHY are you even here on a defense/military forum then? You hate the fauj yet spend time here and attacking others and getting personal .....

God forbid a spillover into our border happens. If people thought the Afghans were a drain, they've not seen anything yet.

More scary, Iran will block Pakistan exports to Turkey and Central Asia. Now Asim Munir in Iran, trying to explain his situation...but good luck...

"It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal " Henry Kessinger.

Won’t speak up when Pakistans interests at stake, won’t speak up when Mecca and Medina are at risk….

The hypocrisy is overwhelming…

Our issues are very different from what Kissinger has stated; for decades, we've invited outsiders to meddle in our affairs and resolve our issues. While we have a different set of goals, those outsiders have the complete opposite.

Thus, it's not America that's dangerous, but our very own.

Brother mine, I hear you, but please consider this: the sanctity of Mecca and Medina is universal, and using them to hide the tragedy in Yemen is a misuse of faith. It breaks our hearts to see Pakistan supporting the side that has subjected Yemen to blockade and starvation. There is no glory in oppression, but there is great honor in the resistance of the oppressed. We pray that truth wins in this massive struggle against Yemen, and we only feel deep sadness seeing our Pakistani brothers standing with those causing this pain.

Talking about interests, well, that cannot be a moral reason to kill the famine-hit people of Yemen.

This war is already out of control and what we witness, is that this war is a world war against an oppressed nation.

Yemen is second Gaza for me. Not as sacred as Quds but as oppressed as Gaza.
