It looks like Trump wants a way out of this upcoming operation. This could end up just like his conflict with Yemen, where he eventually cut a ceasefire deal with the Ansarallah group in Yemen.

Those Epstein Files must be forcing him to do things that he doesn't want to do. He may be looking for a way to declare a victory.

There was no cease fire deal with Ansarallah. The U.S Navy withdrew from the red sea and Ansarallah went back to hitting Israel.

I'm very confident that if Iran decides to sink a USN ship, it has the ability of doing it successfully even after a devastating first strike by USAF

I'm not doubting the capabilities, but the will of IRI to issue an order to sink a USN ship, they can even sink a carrier, Iran has the capabilities, the doubt part is appetite to do so

What? 36k people were killed?! How are they justifying this?!!!
No It was 36.5 Million. Iran brought in Iraqis, Afghans and Pakistanis to do the dirty work because every Iranian loves reza pahlavi!

I am sure that lack of appetite comes from what might come after such an achievement.

If America dares to attack, we have been waiting for a long time to see the film of their ships sinking . Watching destruction of Jewish towns is also our eternal dream.

Unfortunately, oil wells in the region will burn too
Welcom back. Nice to see you were not killed along with the 80 million Iranians killed by the foreign agents of the Ayatollahs!

If it's a now or never situation Iran should do it

Otherwise we will witness an Assad 2.0 where Iran does nothing and just surrenders with all the missiles intact and not used

All the more reason for both sides to be able to work it out, I hope.

There are no protest in Iran since nearly 3 weeks now
In hybrid warfare, that is called a "zombie narrative," and it consists of revisiting an event that went wrong and pretending it's still happening to prevent the initial narrative from disappearing. This is why the mainstream media, internet media, and others continue to pretend there are "protests" in Iran, a "crisis" in Iran, etc.

I dont think, attack is going to happen, all just a bluff.. only few strikes will take place, if at all anything happens.

nobody wants and afford a bloody wat

CIA has already tested resilience of the regime
IRI is one of the most resilient governments in human history and the most resilient in modern history, it will not go away even after airstrikes, they just don't want to go

If Iran, was Syria, Venezuela or a bunch of other states

The attack would have happened decades ago

The whole reason it hasn't happened is the risks, consequences and fall outs are simply too much

It could still happen, but the attack can't be some massive, extended, expensive attack that shuts down the entire middle east and other regions

So outside of some performative strikes, what's the point

Because of the risk it's very likely they will push for continued weakening and economic strangulation of Iran to cause unrest

The biggest event will be the death of the ayatollah and he is a very old man, so within the next 10 years Iran has to prepare for the transition and ensure security and try to address the economic and social conditions inside Iran

Iran desperately needs to try and I improve it's relations with the region and build on some positive signs

seems the USA does not know, if few ships are hit or carrier is damaged, what to do next!

The U.S is a powerful military, the most powerful, so it's right and reasonable to be fearful

But projecting power is difficult

Their is no defendable base the U.S has that Iran can't overwhelm if it wants to

The other option is the carrier groups and they indeed can be used as a floating base to fire missiles at Iran,

But they they are not invulnerable, and are at risk of being overwhelmed by repeated drone and missile strikes

They can't just sail up to Iran and start firing, they need to give Iran space and remain outside of irans anti ship missiles and drones

The U.S and Israel have no easy answers for iran and the region from Pakistan to Saudi to Turkey to Iraq etc are against a attack

All this and domestic and economic fallout and a severe weather front in the U.S, protest's and pressure are all adding up

For Iran, if it can get through another few years, it can then replenish any lost missile stocks
It can build new missiles
Address it's short comings in A.D and Air Force
And hopefully iraq and Syria can address some of their security issues so Israel can't just abuse their air space without consequences
