I can step out and be a neutral observer and say, wtf Iran what are you waiting for? Don't be like Saddam in Desert Storm where he waited to be attacked. If Saddam would have launched an offensive he still would have lost but it would have been absolutely bloody for the coalition. I would really like to understand their (IRGC) thinking why they are going to wait and respond instead of acting first. Do any PDF Iranians have a theory for this lack of urgency?

USA likes to commit war crimes and then pretend a tragedy happened to it like Pearl harbor or 911 (Pretext for 6-7 wars, nations not involved in attack)

Pearl harbor is more closer to the current scenario
  • Not many movies talk about Oil and Sea port embargo on Japan before start of world war 2

WW2 also included a barricade of Japan before they acted to sink 1/3 of US navy in 1 attack

It's a action to push a nation to war, the Victim card is necessary for Public relations , to sway public opinion

If Iran/China/Russia are not doing a per-emptive move , they might be thinking lets not give USA an excuse , unless they make make an error of attacking iran

Things are drastically different as China/Russia are more then equal to USA , and Iran itself is no Push over

Let's not forget North Korea still in Pacific

Zionist fake news, "Iran Internetional" is a Zionist Jewish media outlet based in England that pretends to be Iranian, known for spreading various legendary fake news stories.

NOTE: Nobody is going to reveal secrets about military attacks on the internet; that's ridiculous. Would any adult believe that?

NOTE2: Several American destroyers are stationed near Yemen every year and have been easily driven out by the Houthis. These destroyers can be easily targeted. Their current movements are intended to force a manipulative propaganda campaign about hybrid warfare.

Iran-International is mossad propaganda wing

Right....No one in the West benefited from Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya being turned into failed states..think about the money spent there by NATO and the US.. Think about how much oil was removed from the system between syria, libya and Iraq, during that time. This makes the few remaining cartel even more powerful, and oil prices even higher....Europe is the one that paid for this in terms high energy costs and refugees. The US doesn't export or import in any meaningful amount to give a hoot. The only country that benefited was Israel. However,.Israel and the US had help, maybe not overtly but tacit approval of the GCC. This whole clusterfuck can be rolled up and hung around the neck of UAE, SA, Qatar and Bahrain..... These are the real villains in this tragedy, they let this happen....Approximately two million muslims are dead... Approximately three times that are homeless and refugees. Let's not even blame the West... First we blame the corrupt bastards who empowered the West to be able to kill and destroy their Muslim brethren.
don't forget also - turning Muslims into Westernized local versions where girls and boys are openly in haram relationships, and encouraging it across the social media from Jordan to Pakistan. These people opened up the Middle East to the most anti-Islamic ideology and social values on the planet.

As soon as you can define "enemies" in your comment above.

@Persian Gulf Can you do everyone a favor and ban this two bit troll who's only contribution to this thread and many others is asking performative, disingenuous questioning. He's a Pakistan supposedly but acts like very distinctly like an Indian.

Saddam didn't really have any offensive options

He hardly had a airforce or navy and only had a few scuds

The coalition could literally build up a army of 1 million men on his borders and he couldn't do anything

When the war broke out and the coalition invaded, any Iraqi force regardless of how brave wouybw hit by airstrikes, decimating it and then the coalition tanks would roll over.

Iran doesn't have a great airforce
But Iran has extensive land forces set up to counter invading forces
A naval strategy to counter blockade

And most importantly a offensive missile force that gives it the ability to strike enemy targets

Preemptive strikes by Iran has been discussed
If I were Iran I wouldn't do that, if the war is to be started it has to be the U.S's fault.
The U.S has to be the aggressor so Iran can play diplomatic defence

I don't think it matters, as soon as the U.S hits Iran, Iran can unleash
I don't think any preemptive strikes by Iran will stop any greater conflict or attack

how likely is an attack currently? It's friday night here in North America now

Unless Iran detects an attack on the way and acts right away, I dont think preemptive action is a good idea. This conflict is also one of hearts and minds, trumpy launching his crusade will be seen very negatively world over including in US. Iran preemptive attacking and killing US soldiers will lead to fake stories like 40 beheaded babies being created so they can unleash their own genenicidal war.

Yep, all Iran should do is be ready and if and when the U.S or Israel makes a move, then hit back with as much force as they can

But let this war be on the heads of the Jews and the U.S

Preemptive attack could make congress declare war

Lately Donald Trump has not respected any Congress decision , he went rouge on Venezuela, he is not playing by the book or rule of law or order. Openly threatening South America, Europe , Canada many nations

To Pre-Emptive or not , I am sure China-Russia-Iran have a plan in place to take care of matter

The warning have been relayed in quite clear manner by Putin and China

Will Donald J Trump make the mistake on Iran ?

Saudi defense minister says Trump not bombing Iran would embolden regime

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman (KBS) said in a private briefing on Friday in Washington that if President Trump doesn't follow through on his threats against Iran, the regime will end up stronger, four sources in the room tell Axios.

Why it matters: This is a reversal from the public Saudi talking points cautioning against escalation and from the deep concern Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) expressed to Trump three weeks ago. That warning was one reason Trump decided to delay a strike.

Catch up quick: KBS, the crown prince's younger brother and closest confidant, was visiting Washington for meetings on Iran as the region braces for U.S. military action, and a response Tehran has vowed would be "unprecedented" in scope.

  • Trump has ordered a massive U.S. military buildup in the Gulf, though White House officials insist he hasn't made a final decision and is still willing to explore diplomacy.
  • At the moment, there are no serious direct negotiations between the U.S. and Iran. U.S. officials say Tehran doesn't seem interested in a deal based on the maximalist U.S. terms.
  • "Iran always wants to make a deal. But what kind of deal do you want to make is the problem. What kind of deal Iran wants to make and what kind of deal the U.S. accepts? That's a very good question, and we don't see it coming together at this point," a Gulf official said.
Driving the news: KBS held a lengthy meeting at the White House on Thursday with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Joint Chiefs chair Gen. Dan Caine.

  • The primary focus was on the possibility of a U.S. strike in Iran, according to a source with knowledge.
Between the lines: Saudi Arabia's public posture has been very cautious. MBS told Iran's president in a call on Wednesday that the kingdom would not allow the U.S. to use its airspace for an attack on Iran.

  • The Saudis said in a statement that they respect Iran's sovereignty and seek a diplomatic solution.
Behind the scenes: KBS was less restrained in an hour-long meeting on Friday with around 15 think tank experts on the Middle East and representatives from five Jewish organizations.

  • According to the sources, he said he thought Trump would have to take military action after threatening it for weeks, but would also have to try to mitigate the risks of regional escalation.
  • "At this point, if this doesn't happen, it will only embolden the regime," KBS said, according to the sources in the room.

  • Two sources said they understood KBS to be reflecting the message he'd conveyed at the White House. However, he also said he left that meeting without a clear idea of what the Trump administration's strategy or intentions were on Iran.
  • In a separate briefing on Friday, a Gulf official said the region was "stuck" in a position where the U.S. striking Iran risked "bad outcomes," but not doing so would mean "Iran will come out of this stronger."
The intrigue: Just three weeks ago, the Saudis were practically begging the U.S. not to bomb Iran and warning of the risk of regional war, U.S. officials say.

  • One reason for the shift could be that the Saudis have determined Trump has decided to strike, and don't want to be seen as opposing the move.
Zoom out: Three sources in the room said KBS insisted Saudi Arabia was not pivoting farther away from Israel, or toward the Muslim Brotherhood.

  • He also rejected concerns attendees raised about a rise in anti-Israel sentiment in the Saudi press and social media.
  • "He said several times that it was nonsense. The more he said it the less reassuring it sounded," one participant said.
