More than 13 airframes are ready.

With weapons certifications complete deliveries will be done as engines come.

5 this fiscal ….

Last 200 pages of this thread is Indian posters assuring us of delivery on certain dates. Maybe just wait till HAL finally delivers something for once?

Indian posters are not assuring you anything 😆

HAL is under pressure ,if they don’t deliver , they won’t get further orders.

They already have 180+ orders and even if they do not get anymore, so what?

They all keep their jobs, nothing changes

Yes, Indian posters on here have been CONSTANTLY boasting about delivries that never happen. You can literally read all their BS (including some of your own gems) on thus very thread....

Well their jobs are complex not everyone is blessed with a job of painting & using Chinese sops for assembly.
Yeah, quite complex painting an indian flag on a French designed jet with missing American engines, using isreali radars and russian missiles.

Of all the subjects on this forum, "HAL promises Tejas delivery" is the last hill anyone should be choosing to die on...

Well, only took 3 days to shatter this little fantasy again. You guys never learn do you? I mean never.....

HAL says five Tejas Mk-1A jets ready, but delivery to IAF may miss deadline again

Well well well....

However, sources in the defence and security establishment said that although the jets have successfully completed weapons trials, including the firing of two missiles and the release of a laser-guided bomb, final Staff Qualitative Requirements (SQR) certification and mandatory operational demonstrations are still pending, a requirement for formal induction into service.

Is it normal for every jet to fire two missiles and a LGB ?? Or is this because the "1a" is being considered as a new type?

It would be odd for every jet delivery?

It's a form of operational test for them to see if they can switch between modes and different systems in one operational sortie. But their problem is that despite all the flight hours there is variance in manufacturing quality of the jets partly due to changing teams and partly due to HAL having to deal with rather PoS local subcontractors for their jets.
The blame on GE is correct to some extent but have some heart for PMs and Supply chain at HAL who find out the local spec they ordered for wiring in one batch isnt the same as the next one or that the local supplier switched out the connector color pins as an example(although I may be mixing it up from an MKI line issue).

This is not to be laughed at since such issues have come for Pakistanis as well but that is beyond this thread.

15 Tejas Mk 1A already built by HAL.

How many have engines?

So the delivery timeline isn't certain? Why does it need to be decided after May?
