Yeah we definitely can't have them mass migrating into china even. There are a lot of westerners living in china and they do for decades without obtaining citizenship so idea of giving citizenship to Indians is suicide.

The Chinese Central gov should take away HK gov's special right to give out Chinese citizenships and maybe also permanent residents status of HK to foreigners. This is the relic of HK colonial practice that ought to be abolished, otherwise it will create big trouble for China. China including HK doesn't need large number of Indians.

Last year when china stared down and backed down America in trade war. That was when china cemented itself as a superpower in the world's eyes. hk officials know this and know they are no longer the ones holding the cards and have to placate to china now
