Pakistan not among 5 nations announced to have committed troops for International Stabilisation Force in Gaza

So if everyone knew the mighty Jews were against Pakistan deploying from the get go, then why such hue and cry here on DefPK about Pakistan selling out?

Win-win for Pakistan. Pressure off the back.
This is probably the right way to look at it from national interest.

It depends on your angle, if you choose national interest you could argue this could get messy, better to stay away.

If you choose a humanitarian perspective you could argue better Pakistan than others or Israel.

The whole question of selling feels more like the Indian propaganda line to demoralize and undermine Pakistan's involvement.

Pakistan can only help if it has actual remit and not meddling Israelis and Americans micro-managing. In essence the peacekeepers will see Palestinians being abused without being able to do anything.

Pakistan staying out of this is a good thing. I cannot foresee most of these Muslim troops (whether ours, Indonesian etc.) standing by while Palestinians get slaughtered. That would make for an extremely messy situation as you are highlighting.

Operationally, how would we actually support our troops with lethal force in case Israelis were being aggressive? The Israelis could drop 2000Lbs bombs on our positions inside of Gaza without appropriate air cover etc. (American guarantees mean nothing given Israeli attack on Qatar).

These are the things that the so called "thickskulled generals" are thinking about and providing advice to the sitting GoP on. Whether it is the Sharifs or Khan sahib, it would not make an ounce of difference in terms of the national policy in this regard. It would be EXACTLY same.

At most I see Pakistan offering training services to standup the police/military forces which is something that we have been doing for the PLA for the past 2 decades.

Your boss will send. He cannot refuse his Masters. This whole article is lie. They signed in front of whole world
yes as your friend said they wil go undercover in Indonesia’s uniforms. also i will repeat the same advice

"dude this is unhealthy its almost like u want us to go because that would help your dear leader

OK supposing they go and it can do some good..... Would you still object?

Or is the problem the theatrics around managing Donald trump?

Surely the question of basic human decency has to arise, some things you should not politicise.

I get what’s going on here. Whoever wrote this is clearly trying to control the damage they already signed off on for the whole world to see. It’s all just a controlled damage game. And right in the middle of it, I see the usual suspects Asim munier's mouthpiece always defending the wrong. They’re playing ‘Saleem-ullah Kaleem-ullah’ as usual!

They're going to disarm the indigenous people. Under Genocidal prime minister of Israel

they already signed off on for the whole world to see
this was a public announcemnt by MoFA , this would make it even worse if we end up going becasue that means we had to lie and cover up

again get help

I know deep down you’re laughing at your own comment, because you know the truth. I get it your job is hard, and some people wouldn’t be happy if you didn’t say these things. But honestly, the funniest part is that you know you’re lying, and you’re probably laughing inside while typing it. That little inner laugh gives you away more than you think.

Yes these are fairpoints, and all valid. I don't know if the thinking behind this force is to actually deter Israeli excesses. Which is why I would guess Israel wants to keep Turkey and Pakistan away, such that they have less to worry about, and perhaps why trump wanted to have them initially?

But surely there has to be at least on places like here enough sense and humanity to separate whatever theatrics shabash Sharif does with trump versus the substance of the issue.

The issue for some is not the end goal of stabilizing Palestine. It is finding any reason to flog the sitting government on account of domestic political reasons.

This is why it is hard to take such things seriously except that it is a constant anti-Pakistan tirade.

Even if the other side was in governance, those poor chaps would be no different. As I have said, exact same policies in this regard.
