Interestingly, if Andrew happened to have sex with her in the UK when she was 17, he apparently committed no crime. The age of consent has been reported to be 16.

never occurred to me, but, police should know about it. When the crime was being committed:

1. what was her legal age; and
2. what was the age of consent
3. was there any blackmail or grooming!

if 3 is proven, 2 does not need to be proven as blackmail could have started long ago!
