You're missing the point.Americans knew that Pakistan was playing on both sides of the wickets ....they are not stupid.....
This is all about a wicked game.....all over ..
Just check new Epstine Files ....911, AlQaida and ISIS were all false flags ops....
Pakistan doesn't always say Yes to the US. We do what we believe is in the best interests of our sovereignty. Do we make mistakes? Absolutely. But to say that we are somehow subservient to US foreign policy is lazy work.
The US offered us massive incentives from the 70s to the 90s asking us to stop our pursuit of nuclear weapons. This included billions in economic aid, F16s and waiving the sanctions that were in the works. Did we say yes? No, we did not. We were hit by the Pressler amendments and thrown to the economic grinder. Considered a failed state, and an Islamist pariah, we joined the ranks of Iran, North Korea and Somalia in US foreign policy. Our sovereignty demanded difficult decisions at the time and our leadership took them and we stood behind it. A quarter of a century later, it is reassuring to see that despite the challenges we have faced, we are still holding the line.
Pakistan could easily have said No to the Peace Board as well. Does that liberate Palestine? No. Will saying Yes liberateb Palestine? I don't know; but to see our PM put Pakistan's position to POTUS with clarity is reassuring.

Your problem is that you see the world through Imran Khan's incarceration - and that too you do not look at objectively. This is why you struggle to form a reasonable opinion. The world and Pakistan are much bigger than a single person. Did you celeberate when Imran Khan locked up Nawaz Sharif?
