Khameneist talking point seems to have a 99% overlap with jew talking points - Iran shouldn't have nukes, Iran should be poor, Iran should be destroyed. Quite interesting.

Anyone here authoritatively saying there will be a major war, an arranged tit for tat, or a complete de-escalation due to some diplomatic solution would be just as much guessing as almost 99.9999999999999999999% people in the world.
The decision rests with two key figures: Trump and Netanyahu, so essentially two persons, not two nations, not two states. This is one personal major war on the horizon with nary even 'manufacturing consent' the world has ever seen.
So much so for 'democracy' and 'collective wisdom'. My a$$!! And if a major war does happen, killing and destroying a lot, then one day there would be the 'carrerists' like McNamara who later admitting they were wrong about the Vietnam War.

You know I actually rarely ever agree with you but kudos saying you would think it would be reprehensible (paraphrasing)to put civilians yes be they Jewish as human shields especially those who chose to stay in Iran to be in their homeland..

Don't worry about it. Khamenei knows better than anyone how the world works, how to fight, and how to progress.

Yh but at the same time they sent relatively just as much against North Korea in 2017-2018 and didn't end up in war.

Also the Gerald ford carrier, is not really in a battle state, needing maintenance and crew fatigue.

But this is me playing devil's advocate, we have to wait and see

Even in the best of times after Saddam fell and Iran had the easier access to Lebanon through Iraq and Syria, I heard an analyst say that Israelis managed to destroy 1 out of every 5 Iranian supply to Hezbollah. And you may also look up how the Israelis often interdicted and destroyed the sea routes to Lebanon during the best of times for the Iranian enterprise to support the Palestinians.

The game is over for Iran; the post 1979 idealism has faced real geopolitics. It has taken almost half a century to come to that but here we are. Iran needs to salvage what it can and may be hope either Trump and/or Netanyahu are not in the decision making for the next three damned years!! Three damned years!! A long time for such a pernicious combination to exist!!
 
The real problem arises when the Pakistani establishment targets Afghanistan and destabilizes it, making it unsafe for Pakistan itself. If This is followed by the American attack on Iran. This will likely lead the Afghan to side with Iran, placing Pakistan in a difficult position. Does this mean Pakistani Establishment is choosing the side of the Americans? And making sure more manpower join from Afghanistan with Iran in possible war against America
Last night attacks on Afghanistan is another developing story you cannot separate with the recent development happening in region.
This is very valid question. I hope someone answer it.
Because no one know America and NATO better than Taliban. As they have fight experience with them and negotiation experience with them as well
