While the JF-17 is a success story.Tejas is a failure.

There are systemic failures from HAL suppliers to manufacturers to maintenance that need to be fixed otherwise AMCA is also going be the same discussion in 2045.Yes, brake failure. Would be a miracle if the airframe is salvageable but looks like a write-off as it overshot the runway.

After Dubai airshow I read many journals about it during this search due to morbid curiosity i found one article in which former French test pilots mentioned that France helped India in designing first Tejas and as per him they designed Tejas as per US provided F104 engine but India (HAL) continuously putting more and more stuff in Tejas without wind tunnel tests plus refueling probe and landing gear adds enough drag and weight it would not fly until extensive testing and result is in front of us.This is where my post comes back in. Until you accept where the problems are, you cannot overcome them regardless of “clearances” and throwing money at it.
