USA Weather Alert and Warnings Thread

"That don't impress me much" (from a 90s song).
Prepare for the 8 months of muggy, stinky, nasty, warm weather ahead, bro!!
Warm doesn't bother me, bugs do for sure... I haven't see the swarms of love-bugs which I've been hearing from Floridians, but this year could be different. We may even get some big boi hurricanes, you better finish that outhouse soon bro hahaha

Do you have a cockroach phobia?? I do and almost pathological level!! That's why, I would never want to live in FL or Karachi unless it is dead of the winter!
And I don't need any 'outhouse' if plumbing fails: So much nature/trees around that I could do my 'business' freely anywhere I want to and I have but only No. 1. Hahaha!

I have bug phobia bro, anything that crawls or fly gives me a mini heart attack, minus mosquitos and those mini flies, but bees/wasps/butterflies/grasshoppers(worse)/cockroaches/Roaches that flies/spiders/lizards/snakes (only encountered one dead one back when i used to live with my ex-wife)/gators etc
That wasn't for you my friend, it will be for me to stay and let the hurricane past, man oh man you will let a guest do his business in the woods? not going for Number 2 in the woods, unless my life depends on it.

Any of your neighbors BBQing some iguana?

That picture makes me sick (virtual vomit) yuck!!! nah none of my neighbors doing that, i got some kids probably around 16-20 years old yesterday blasting Music almost all day at the pool, that kinda annoys me a bit.

I pity you if you are scared of all those insects!! Nothing bothers me--not even snakes unless they are the venomous ones, which are rare and only in deep woods-- but cockroaches are the ultimate scary things. Spiders are my friends, geckos also because they eat cockroaches

As for doing the 'business' in the woods, I believe Mexican workers fixing things on our property have done it a few times and that's fine by me--too much privacy and distance. I don't want to know No. 1 or No 2!

Yeah that's what people often ask me if you are so scared of bugs than why move to mini Jurassic Park aka Florida? I mean I still miss South Carolina (not because of my ex-wife) but I like its weather and affordable housing (not sure now). Like I often say if i had option I would move to Greenville SC. It doesn't have many mosques or halal places but its close to beautiful mountains, pretty lakes and so much greenery.

Like every kid who grow up in a concrete jungle like Karachi, in some deep corner of my heart is to have a decent size land for growing some veggies and fruits, and of course......

Your heart is in the right place, bro!
But don't get too hung up on Halal food or mosques. You can order Halal food to be delivered, you can eat sea food for good calories, and you don't have to have a mosque nearby to show your spiritual side.
When you live deeply embedded in nature, surrounded by nature, and witness on monthly bases the changing temperature, the changing colors, the changing daylight time, the lengthening and shortening of nights and sunlight, and notice the leaf buds, then the flower buds, then the fruits, noticing when you are able to close and open windows and listen to the critters like the night owl, to notice all that Mother Nature has available for you... all that, despite sometimes hardships, is magical and only good way to experience that is to be deep in the woods 24/7 for a long time!

Yeah you are right, I mean as long as there is a store/restaurant which I know exists in Greenville, I am down to it because sometimes you just don't feel like cooking you know? having a option to just order something to eat is a great thing.
I was living in a very small/shitty town in SC, but whenever I traveled to Greenville to the Haywood Mall or for other stuff its always nice to be in the city. Still remember my first car in US was 2014 Honda Accord from Spartanburg.
Finding a good job is hard specially these days, I did get few offers here and there but nothing close to what I make here. living in Florida has its perks you know, Disney / Cruise ships/ best beaches in the whole USA/ beautiful crystal clear springs for Kayaking, and nice sunny weather, but downsides are there too like bugs/heat/hurricanes/Florida man.

Firstly, again, don't get too hung up on Halaal food or some mosque nearby: You seem to know ways around those things. Go where the $$ is-that's the American way and you are now in America!

As for the climate, you seem to like FL climate enough for year around living, so good for you. To me, even northern FL like Jacksonville is too hot, but its our own preferences. The only a few things I'd miss about FL:
1) Nice weather in the 2-3 months of winter.
2) Beaches galore all around (but then I despise hot beach weather)
3) Cruises!! Now that's where FL really shines!!

@AZ_HighCountry : The fridge magnet on my fridge which says 'It is dry heat' is from Las Vegas--not from AZ. I used to have Grand Canyon or something AZ one with AZ on my fridge and I think it was bottle opener but can't find it--probably broke after over-use!

True I do like Florida when it comes to weather, but constant heat also spikes the electric bill, I mean you are right about go where the $ takes you, we got like 50 States, 51 and 52 if you count Canada & Greenland (Okay that was a joke lol) but still 50 states means you have a lot of options to move around, in fact a friend/co-worker of mine from Austin TX, he is inviting me to come visit him for almost a year now, he said his mom buying a 144 Acre land in TX which is crazy, he share some pics with me and it looks awesome for bike rides and some camping, he offer to take me on some hunting too (of course he likes guns bro is from Texas). I really really wanna visit mid-west or west coast of USA this year, I spend 1600$ on camera, and mostly likely will be spending another 500-700$ for a lens (God!!! I will be broke A$$ FUQQQ) but its my hobby/love for photography.
@AZ_HighCountry said there is that old planes boneyard Museum in AZ, i want to go there for sure too, God i wanna do so many things but got no money, Time to find a sugar mama for myself, or a girl who have onlyfans lol

hmm...mostly Cape Cod...which is basically deserted during wintertime.
Another reason not to live there year round...you are last when things need fixing.

Looks like the wealthy houses on those two big islands (Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket) are doing fine.

Why does Cape Cod reminds me of scorpion tail all the time?!!
I'd like to go that region, especially seen so many episodes, of the 90s 'Wings' tv series.
