On one side Afghanistan is a bankrupt state with nothing and no means of power according to yall, and itd br crushed and forced to come to the negotiation table.
And one side, they have enough means to "carve a route to sea" and put the entire western flank of Pak on fire.

Simple. "Durand Line" is a non-issue for Pakistanis in KPK and Baluchistan. They don't care about it or Pashtunistan. Afghans may raise it due to all the friction between the countries in the past 50 years but reality is its one issue for one ethnicity alone among the major ethnicities of Afghanistan. I don't know about this planned genocide and I will chalk it to propaganda. Durand Line and Pashtunistan is what happens when baat ka batangar banana ho.
The border is internationally recognized. Both countries recognize each other and Pakistan recognized the Taliban in the 90s as well. What is the problem now ? Whole world already knows who put the Taliban in power in Kabul. Recognize the Taliban and start building relations with them openly. It will lead to confidence building and eventually they will pull their support for TTP/BLA.

Tactical gaps exist because we fund our military with a $10B budget when the entire US border fencing spend for Mexico is about $16B/year. This means they get to spend upwards of $6M for each mile in question.Ok I understand. Yes, wars of attrition take time. Yes, pressure on Afghanistan matters.
But none of that explains why tactical gaps on our side should remain open while waiting for strategic effects to materialize??
COIN succeeds when you deny insurgents mobility, not when you simply punish sponsors. If fighters, weapons, and cash can still cross regularly, then operational pressure resets every night. You cannot bomb faster than infiltration replenishes.
And clearly, none of this is happening. A nuclear armed state is running around like a headless
So I am just breaking down the basics for a high level comparison. This does not mean that we don't fence and put posts up and use drones where we can, but our ability is limited and these gaps are exploited.
Imagine the locals in KPK guiding their TTP family members through gaps at the border fencing they have created at a time when the drones are not operating in the air etc.

Even Iran got involved along with India. There are routes that extend to the kurds in Iraq and Syria which provided them with training and weapons.
taliban started providing them with weapons from 2005 onwards. Most their gear is American. Their tactics are learned from taliban proxy groups.
KP is full of afghan proxies and sleeper cells. Anyone says a word against them in KP and they will hunt them down with the hour. PTI are cowards which is why they stay quiet.
That's why they are all scared to say anything. Others have a vested interest in smuggling.

The more than half population being followers of Imran Khan is a myth. Even with extreme rigging and what not, he could not secure even 30% of the votes casted in the 2018 elections and he was well on his way to lose extraordinarily in the 2023 elections were it not for the fools who believed his carefully crafted story where he spun a simple msg from the US into a conspiracy; that too riding on the ever popular anti-establishment narrative which gave him respite and almost a 2nd chance.
In any case, the state must do what is needed, popular or otherwise. The state of Pakistan is import, even more than the whims and wishes of ignorant Pakistanis.

To all the pro army bois in this thread once again if the military was even remotely serious they would have hit the TTA where it hurts them (Kabul/Kandahar) not like blowing mud house and taking out cannon fodder fighters with their families
