PAF isn't fighting a conventional army and dropping a few bombs here and there won't do much.

The taliban in their current form are absolutely a conventional army, mixed with guerilla militias as well.

They man borders, perform internal security duties, and fight using conventional means. They are not using hit and run tactics. They are trying to take and hold land.

They used to be a non-conventional militant force. You cannot hold off an invasion force using non-conventional means. Guerilla war only works once an invasion occurs and your territory is taken by the conventional army, and you no longer have any means to fight conventionally.

A conventional army will aways be superior to a non-conventional one for that very reason.

So, your claim is wrong.

The current taliban army is conventional. They're just really shit at fighting conventionally.

That whole era was idealist morons doing everything they can to screw up Pakistan for a decade to come. We were far better off if only the whole 2018 - 2022 had not happened. The only good thing to come out of that era was that it was stopped before it got too late to rescue Pakistan out of.
