Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

DO, that photo is misleading. Those troops are not "captured". Its just a detachment Gen Musa is inspecting.

My father fought in the Bajaur conflict. The reality of the Afghans on the other side was absolutely rag-tag militia who used to try to raid Pakistani positions through harassing fire and would get decimated in the process because of our artillery fire. Their motivation to attack Pakistani troops was equally stone-age. The captured ones (wearing torn-up Shalwar Kameez, bare foot/sandals) would tell our officers that they were told by their leaders that Pakistani "daal khorrs" were cowards and would run leaving all their equipment behind.

Firstly, to note, long before the Americans/General Musharraf/the Establishment blah blah excuses were involved, as you responded to something that happened in the 1950s, the Afghans were launching attacks into Pakistan. So the dishonest, disingeneous, disrespectful supporters of a certain political 'party' of Pakistan need to note that very important point. Would they?? Or they believe what their Messiah Khan had said 'We are killing our own for American Dollars' a quarter century ago?

Secondly, as you post says, they were 'rag tag' even 6-7 decades ago and they were always rag tags until some foreign power gave them the weapons. Some Warriors of the Graveyard of Empires, my a$$!! They are only the Experts in Suicide Bombing!

This is the main page of Dawn.com right now. So it has begun! And notice the anarchists of a certain political 'party'.

2 - Pakistan killing the top leadership of Afghan Taliban and place the old enemy into government
that should be the goal. I heard Kandhari side is more rigid (BBC news report) and more eager to engage with Pak. Eliminating those may work, and it provides room for less aggressive people.
Still, it depends hoe do we handle the war and aftermath. If MoFA play by the books and nobody celebrates innocent civilians' deaths, etc, that will be a good start.
Lastly, good targets will be the munition dump near the border and those left by the US. Kill also border posts.

Jitni pakki dosti thi Pak army aur Afghan taliban main, pappi jhappi wala scene tha..

I am still hoping ke both mil ke India ke khilaaf koi naya hi game daal rahay hon..

PAF will only be used IF GoP has decided to escalate. Otherwise Pakistan has more than enough hardware for an overmatch against the Taliban on the borders.

Use of PAF will indicate where the GoP wants to go with this.
That’s basically stating the obvious.

Brother i agree with you.. i dont understand what i have said different than this in my earlier post? Let me explain clearly once again. In my view, Muslims should make every possible effort to avoid fighting among themselves. And if someone else tries to create conflict between us, both sides should remain cautious. As for peace, it must be established under all circumstances. First, we should make complete efforts through dialogue to explain that we want lasting peace. The very first point in dialogue should be to ask: do you consider all of us Pakistanis to be Muslims? If yes, then according to the Qur’an (Surah An-Nisa, verse 93), killing any innocent Muslim leads to eternal punishment. And if they do not consider us Muslims, then start full fledge war and finish all people like that until peace is established.

Pakistan cannot become economically strong and bring prosperity to its people if it keeps getting attacked.

It's bad for business.

You can't live like Sudan, fearing the next attack. Sometimes in life you have to slay the dragon.

Not easy.. Pakistan is not an economic powerhouse to support the new regime against the Taliban gorilla war. By the way, that new regime is another enemy of Pakistan

If a full scale war starts, what is the likely end:

1 - Pakistan capturing the whole of Afghanistan and start patrolling like the NATO forces did for 2 decades

2 - Pakistan killing the top leadership of Afghan Taliban and placing the old enemy into government

3 - Pakistan and Afghanistan continue to fight every few days, draining each other

4 - Baniya enters the Arena eventually leading to Chinese involvement and finally Kashmir freedom/ annihilation of India and Afghanistan and Afghanistan becoming a province of Pakistan

5- Akhundzada group of Taliban is replaced with Haqani and Mullah Umar's Son group of Taliban.
