This the 5th or 6th round of one off air attacks on Afghanistan in the past 4 years, alongwith shelling on the border. That's about as far as Pakistan can go and has been insufficient to compel the Taliban to change behavior or stop its support of TTP or BLA.

Grandiose schemes of occupying Afghan territory or a sustained air campaign or removing the Taliban from power via another insurgency remain pipedreams given the country's financial constraints.

Once we go beyond the forced patriotism is when we ask the uncomfortable questions

1.When GHQ was attacked, when Mehran base was Attacked why didn't Pak Army conduct strikes in Afghanistan then inspire of the fact that that regime was openly pro India and Anti Pakistan

2.We all accuse India of formenting terrorism in Pakistan.Why doesn't Pakistan conduct air strikes in India

I guess for the dollar generals discretion is the better part of valour when up against standing armies

We will take it

Their may never be a solution to the Western front with the type of jahils living there

So we may constantly have terrorism in those areas

BUT we can't have terrorism and do nothing, as long as Afghanistan is blasted repeatedly for supporting BLA and TTP then we should take that as a best case situation


If nothing else works, then so be it

But our aim should be to cause our enemies more misery and suffering then they can cause us

What gains of 2021 ? Drinking Tea in Kabul and saying "Don't Worry everything will be fine" ? We all saw how well that all went with Afghans immediately inviting the Indians back into Afghanistan with full force.

Just two days after removing Imran Khan from power Pak Army conducted strikes in Afghanistan.This is now obvious that Dollar khor generals were never interested in peace.

It was only natural that when you antagonize your neighbor they will shake hands with the enemy

2 days ago Netanyahu and Modi announced in the Knesset support for groups in Afghanistan, then yesterday war started , they no longer hide it , they want Muslims divided and fighting , I hope these nations know better and can reach a diplomatic solution as soon as possible

Yep we can

As soon as afghans stop supporting TTP and BLA then we can have peace and trade

I think that's a good deal afghans should take

True. But now we have no other option but to back the military fully.

In 2021, we were relieved that pro-indian ashraf ghani & amrullah saleh govt was thrown out. Those guys were filled with extreme hatred of Pakistan. It was strategic win for us but honestly the miiltary hadn't planned it through. They should have done all out effort to keep AF taliban on their side and not get into a trap that was laid by TTP for both Pakistan and Afghanistan. TTP was biggest winner when and if war to be broke out between afg talibs and Pakistan. It should have been prevented. Now when we are clearly pushed into this war. Now no other option but to support Pak army without any political angles.

Pakistan is bigger then all the internal politics.

There is a massive clean up going on in every part of the Muslim world. Saudi cleaning up in Yemen; Türkiye cleaning up in Somalia; Turkiye/Pakistan cleaning up in Libya; Saudi/Turkiye cleaning up in Syria etc. This Af-Pak kinetics is the clean up in the Eastern end. This consolidation has to happen for the new “Sunni Axis” to be effective. The real war is yet to begin.
