Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

That would be the same kind of silliness we've seen in the past. Guess who has closer ties to TTP? Haqqanis. Taliban are not rational agents. You can't play ball with them.
Possibly. However, he is also known to be more amiable to Pakistan's demands.

The reality is that it's a massive mess inside Afghanistan. Not even sure if Pakistan has the leverage to push for this change.

And do what? Let's assume we take them for their word. Internal security is being tightened, air and artillery strikes are ongoing. What more can possibly be done to cater to such a threat?
Do exactly what we are doing now instead of suggesting we orchestrate a leadership change. Just kill them all

The Professor in this video says Taliban was preparing for this war since they took power in 2021. They were building underground infrastructures and they have built enormous stamina to absorb damage. They have 30 years of experience of absorbing air strikes. He also says after today Taliban will double down on its support for terrorists inside Pakistan.

Maybe if we Pakistanis hadn’t given the Taliban Sanctuary why west and Soviets could never defeat them. Because Talibs kept going over to Pakistan plus the Pakistani Madrassas pumping out new recruits.. why it was difficult for west and Soviet to defeat them when they ran into Pakistan.

The problem with TTA and Afghans is that destroying the buildings and infrastructure means nothing.
Going after personnel is the key here and the only damage that will make an impact

He’s probably a bit sore that his kabuli handler ate a jdam

Bit like him. Not so proud and arrogant anymore is he?

I agree. Now is the time to boost Haqqani if he is willing to play ball and normalize ties with Pakistan against Akhundzada.
Or we could openly and decisively back Massoud.

Do we really want the same no-hope for common folk, suffocate all women everywhere, brand of pseudo-governance repeatedly manifesting itself?

If genuine trust-based relationships can be forged with Massoudists, encouraging their simultaneous engagement with other regional friends like China and Iran, why not opt for this route? Americans abandoned the Massoud clan. So did India. It's a no brainer for us to step in, surely?

Open to that too. A balanced Pakhtun/Tajik enterprise?

It doesn't work like that

Taliban isn't a militia or guerrilla force,, it's supposed to be a government/state

If it goes into Hiding, then who rules Afghanistan up above?

Unlike a normal guerrilla force, Afghanistan has many many many targets to hit and destroy

So if the Taliban do indeed support terrorism against Pakistan, all that means is Pakistan will bomb the **** out of high value Afghan targets

Afghanistan already doesn't have much, but they will be living in rubble by the time Pakistan is through with them

Just 16 hours earlier, he was declaring war against Pakistan. Now the message has shifted to mediation and ceasefire.

The fear on Zabihullah’s face clearly shows that Pakistan’s brutal response has shaken the Afghan Taliban regime.

Interesting to see 155mm howitzers in action. Thus far Pakistan had only used FC manned D-30 (122mm) and Type-59s (130mm). Sahi phainty laga rahi hai artillery ab.
