what engine are you going to use for this massive project ?
“Massive” project? It’s a delta wing design with a scramjet. The PGMs exist, the FLIR tech is magnitudes better than the film camera they used for spying. The design exists. The only thing Iran would need is way to mass produce scramjets with similar performance, didn’t need to be exact performance match.
The scramjet is a relic from the 1960s era (65 year old tech mind you) and if Iran spent its time investing in its scramjets instead of blowing money building Mowj vessels and refurbished F-5’s then it could have made a breakthru.
Thats the point of a black project. It would require effort and resources, but it was within Iran’s engineering capability if it put its mind to it. Not without risk, but nothing is. Instead Iran only spent its time reversing whatever western or Israeli drone it could capture. Always cautious and sticking to “safe” projects.
how will it get past USAF and air defences in Iraq and Jordan (and Israel) ?
How did Iranian subsonic Shaheds get past Saudi Arabian defense and hit Armaco when the PG was lined with Patriot ADs and radars all facing Iran?
A Mach 3+ drone flying 80K altitude is not easily targeted. That’s what makes HALE valuable. And it will be in and out of a radar envelope before a missile could even be fired and would outpace most ground interceptors.
Clearly it would be designed to avoid radar envelopes same way Iran preprogrammed the Armaco drones. But if it did have to break thru airspace it be much better at surviving. The point would be a quick hit and return before enemy jets can take off or locate you.
Israel will patrol Syrian air space with F-35s and hunt this drone easily, and each one lost would be a massive loss
Israel will patrol and hunt down a Mach 3+ drone flying at upper stages of atmosphere “easily” with a jet that has a top speed of 1.6? Lay down the Xbox controller and join reality.
This drone design was a more viable idea than the 1000+ Shahed drones fired in TP1/2/3 that did nothing but waste resources.
I said the same thing about mountain air bases and was dismissed by AmirPatriot as unrealistic…months before it was unveiled.
None of these things were outside of Iran’s grasp nor are they realm of science fiction. And all have existed before in some shape or form. You cannot beat the West with just missiles and off the shelf parts from ALIBABA.
This board could have had some great ideas if it wasn’t an echo chamber filled with cyber bullies who wanted to say how amazing Iran’s missiles were and how the West was on the brink of collapse for years and years.
Losers like SalarHaqq and Jauk who filled this board with mindless propaganda and called anyone who dissented as Israeli spies. Both no where to be found, funny isn’t it?
If Iran’s government was filled with idiots like those two then it’s no wonder we find ourselves in this position today.
