Reports indicate that Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Supreme Leader, has been appointed the new Supreme Leader of Iran.

Like father, like son. Mojtaba has long been considered the hidden power behind the regime, controlling key IRGC appointments, overseeing intelligence operations, and managing his father's inner circle.

In true American style, they ousted Khamenei only to replace him with Khamenei.

That’s it. China used to export revolution but got little in return. Iran has wasted too much on the so-called arc of resistance than its own people.

Military, of course. Do read up about the offensive and defensive firepower that a USN CBG has.

There is a reason why no aircraft carrier has been sunk (or even hit) since WW2.

So he’s behind the weak intelligence allowing Mossad to roam freely all over Iran and attain all kinds of top positions?

There is method to Iran's madness.

Trump hasn't bothered to build a grand narrative so there isn't much there. His plan hinges on Iran capitulating through the application of air power alone. That's a huge gamble and one that is unlikely to pay dividends.

The Gulf states are soft targets. Neither US, nor anyone in the Middle East is suicidal enough to put boots on the ground in Iran. The place is a powder keg after Imam Ali Khamenei's assassination.

Iran needs to switch to Houthi warrior mentality. Accept the pain, expand the war by region and time.
